Hi,

Mornin' Y'all.

It's 11C and we are 2 inches into a rain even that is supposedly going drench us with (15-20cm) 6 to 8 inches of rain by thursday.

It's seldom I wish for blackie to put down lots of rain here DM but I'm fed up of cleaning our car; I spent three days washing; drying and polishing the car I even treated all the full leather upholstery; the car looked brand new; Bron and I have just returned from M&S in Pudsey where we travelled on very dirty roads so now the car looks like its been off roading; GRRRRRR.

The rain is in the wrong place so please lets have Blackie back home quickly. :D:LOL:

Kind regards, Colin.

I am up in Michigan staying with my younger brother who is terminally ill. Every once in a while I have to go out for a walk to clear my head. Yesterday I noticed that the Maple buds were really swollen. Since the high temps have only been in the mid 20s F Ithink it is too early. Today it is snowing lightly but the wind is brutal. Since it is not unusual to have a freeze in mid May I hope that the trees don’t get hurt by coming out of dormancy too early.

Hi,

Incredible day here today; like a beautiful summers day; calm and warm I can't believe it's February in Yorkshire. I've just washed the car AGAIN; replaced the front wiper blades and had a natter with our neighbours gardener; another natter with a neighbour; waved to neighbours and had two cats come up to me for a natter; life's good today. Before coming indoors I've also wandered up the mountain to see lots of the plants I put in are now in bloom; the Potentilla's I planted last year which looked dead are starting to put a bit of growth on; the sky rocket conifers and other ground cover conifers/plants are looking good and I thought all the lupins had died but three are showing promise; if only every day could be like today. :)

It could all change in a blink because we're used to seeing daffodils pushing through the snow in April but no complaints from me at the moment.

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

Absolutely brilliant morning here; cool but not cold and calm for a change including me.

I've already been busy moving lots of items from the top garden shed down to the bottom garden hut; the shed is now clear at last so I can dismantle it and cut it up for neighbours woodburners. I'm going to replace the shed with a new home made hut; no windows for security.

Having now enjoyed a mug of tea and a bickie time I got back to work; retirement sure is busy and no holidays either. :)

Kind regards, Colin.
