Similar day for us too Logan; when I went out first thing this morning I thought the car to be just wet so as usual I started to clean the windows but found the windscreen to be frozen; it was 2C.
I enjoy a good joke; please see above our weather forecast and note no rain? I've posted this just to watch what happens?
A little story; I do our supermarket shopping twice weekly Monday & Friday; last Friday whilst in Morrison's the checkout operator exchanged my five £1 coins for a £5 note; leaving the checkout I slipped the note into my trouser leg pocket; round at Aldi I was surprised to find the note had disappeared; this was annoying because I'd rather give something away than to lose it; I knew then I had dropped the note rather than it going into my pocket. This morning I was once again in Morrison's and I enquired at the customer service counter if a £5 note had been handed in last Friday; WOW it had; I asked if it was an honest customer and were their details recorded because I intended to exchange the £5 for a £10 note as a reward; no it was a member of staff and my offer of the reward was politely declined; when I visit again this Friday I'll ask the checkout operator if she knows who handed the note in and I'll buy a box of chocolates for the staff member. £5 is a lot of money to some people and I'm delighted to see such honesty; I'll also email Morrisons with a huge thank you. It was losing the money rather than its value which upset me; these new £5 notes are incredibly slippy to hold on to. Just a happy story to start a new week and a huge thank you to the person for being so honest. I've shopped at this Morrison's for the last 24 years since it first opened.
