We got dusted last night. This is pretty early for us, a big cold front has blown down to the southeast. We have a freeze warning until Friday 9am and it is supposed to be 65f for a high Saturday.

I noticed you have a lot of open ground around you also which won't help the leaf lark ;)….our decking is like that again...it's a waste of time but if we don't keep on top of it, the amount at the end is totally sick

Yes I have no grass around my house, even out front. I compost leaves like a mad man. I have a gas backpack blower and 2 gas hand held blowers to pile them and a pull behind sweeper for the riding mower as well as a chipping shredder. I resist the urge to take any from in front of my neighbors houses. Would you believe there was 5 inches of water in my rain gauge with this storm? Wet and cold!

Where you use yours for good purpose ours have to be binned, although my hubby keeps saying leaves them they'll rot into the gravel...that's a lot of water...it takes some rain here just to see it starting across the road.
I brought a blower and sucker for the leaves a long rolling one and it was brill but if I got to close it would suck the gravel besides and then the bag started developing holes...tried to seal them and they would re-open so in the end I gave it to a neighbour.

Put them in a black garbage bag with some sugar. Pre bagged compost in the spring!

Well the gardens all gravelled and lined and if I do any planting which occurs each year I buy two bags usually going cheap at morrisons but that's still a brill idea and we keep the bags in a space down the back...thanks for that (y)
