Did I hear Chocolate?? I must have some.. My seed germination journey this year has totally deflated me! I need some pick me up!

What's happened to your mango germination, @Klona?

The one from the second try is probably dead. As for the first one, the seed seems to have gotten bigger so I thought I'd just bury it in a nursery pot, if nothing sprouts out i'll just throw it away. I'm gonna save the third mango if all else fails.

I can't remember if we have been to Hinton Ampner. We've been Clandon Park, Kingston Lacey (very pretty). Lovely photos and lovely flowers. Must pay a visit to Hinton Ampner! You must have a lovely day.

Yes @alp , Kingston Lacey is one of our favourite NT house/gardens, that's where we had planned to go today. But decided we would visit during the week instead, it's not very far from us, we are very lucky to have so many lovely NT places nearby

Good morning to all = another bleak and overcast and windy day! Just when is the hot weather coming? Tonight they predict that it would be 6C in Essex. Charming! Definite very windy today, but at least I can sit here with window upstairs wide open without feeling the freeze.

We have been to so many NT properties that we run out of places to go. We have been to some of them 3 times. Need to plan what to see during our holiday. Wonder what the shrub smothered with white flower is. I kept buy tree peony seeds, but they all invariably perished.

Another cold and dry day here n Essex. I don't even know which bit to water. I bet your plants are thriving @Verdun with all the rain and balmy weather.

Rain? Rain alp? Just one day out of a very long dry warm spell

By the look of it, the whole country is dry then. At least you have one day, We have one hour max, @Verdun ! Have you finished with all your lovely planting?

It's been dry here for days. OH had to water the blueberries and polyanthus, also a redcurrant, that indecates how dry it is.

I have to water all my pots and I'm dreading it when the sun does come out. The plants will be fried alive.

Good morning Logan, alp, Verdun and all others that may look in.

alp it's going to be 4c here tonight and tomorrow......... you've got a heatwave!!

We have visited many NT places several times too, our local ones
more times than I can remember. Often we will decide on the spur of the moment to grab a picnic and just go and find a nice spot in their gardens to enjoy our lunch.

I have entered the comp @alp , after @Logan's lovely pic of Barley.
Not happy with it, but it's the only I could think of at the time........since then I've realised that I do have more, including a lovely pic of a swan that I took at Motisfont the other day...oh well never mind.......never planned on winning anyway
