When I go on holiday your way, we must single out these gcs. I will be like a child running wild in a sweet shop. Metaphor only. I'm not keen on sweets.

But you don't have to buy, not have a visual feast. Son is making a raised bed for me, with all sorts of swear words and technical jargons flaring up.. You should chuck your nails, they are not High speed stainless steel and all that.. Then he couldn't manually screw the nails in and I had to show him..

Upsy, the critical thing with cosmos is not too over water.....not too early with sowing either :). Dont let them dry out but warm compost erring on th dry side.
A later sowing......now is not too late at all.....will catch up fast ;)

Hey guys!
I just raised the soil level of my wilting catnips pot because I thought it was too shallow (it had 3-4 inches of soil). Now it's filling the entire pot. :)
I've been thinking that shallow soil might not be healthy for catnip? Thankfully, the soil was very compact, I was able to lift the soil from the base of the pot without disturbing the main roots.
The process was almost like lifting one layer of a chocolate cake and adding filling under it.

@Logan Hope you internet connection is still going strong. May the force be with you!:p

@Upsy Daisy I love Waddesdon Manor. Beautiful artwork and the topiary is stunning. The orangery is so grand. It was owned by Rothschild banking dynasty. Go there in late June or July, you won't be disappointed.

Your OH knows a thing or two. How can WE resist? The sun came out 2pm as I predicted and now it cold again.

Sounds good @alp :)

Well the day went well and it turned out to be a lovely afternoon ( albeit that we really need rain ).
We did finally go on a NT visit , as at first we had planned.....but didn't go to Dorset :D We went to nearby Hinton Ampner instead. The flower of the week was a beautiful Peony, will post a pic ( if it looks OK)
