@Verdun I would take some pic and I need some plant about 4 to 6 feet tall at the back. I have got Bishop of Llanduff there now. but as they are near to or under big trees, I'm worried they might not flower. I took a snapshot of Adam Frost's border and want something go from the front to the back in heights as I ALWAYS plant my plants in the wrong place ... too deep no flowers. I will take a pic tomorrow. Thank you for all the names. I like rock roses. I must get a packet of seeds.

Good morning @Logan, @MaryMary et al: It's very cold. The air was cold and blowy and that's just through the gap of my bathroom window 5 inch wide. I feel sorry for my plants.

I have some photos from yesterday. They want to say hello to you all:

Cosmos sulphureus - I was very surprised to see a yellow version. Well chuffed. Orange and yellow..

Zannia: You must try this @Logan about 2 to 4 foot tall and the flowers stay open for more than a month .. I think @Upsy Daisy will agree with me that this is a good feature as an annual.

Blue and Black Salvia and I am waiting for its seeds.

No wonder some garden centre restaurants are doing a roaring trade. Last time we went to Althons(spelling?) the restaurant was so busy ..

Make sure you post your art work later, @BigC !

Catching up with the papers and gardening programmes.

@alp those cosmos and zinnias are so bright. How tall is the cosmos? Haven't been able to do any Gardening, thunderstorms this afternoon. Been tracking it on a website, called LighteningMaps.Org. very interesting.

Turned out to be a beautiful day here.....lots of sun :)
Cut lawns .....always satisfying task :)
My (nosey) neighbour popped in wanting to know the names of some plants. She copies me so much that I am inclined not to tell her.
Another satisfying haggle day.....got a tumble dryer for about £160 less than asking price. Got a freebie meal for my trouble:)

Was just watching a Merlin Hawk in my backyard. Unfortunately I left my camera in the garage in my bike pack. And the Bobcats are really moving into my city. Hot and smoky for today but some rain and a cool down in a few days.

Are these lovely looking Bobcats dangerous? This one looks quite big! Would love to see a hawk, shame the only birds I see are crows and sparrows..

I thought you were one year wiser! £160 off asking price?!:p Crikey! I hope you got it from Currys as I hate it with a vengeance! Always sold me 2nd hand stuff. Even this laptop was 2nd handed, a Bionaire purifier, a dodgy Bosch washing machine .. Heartless money grabber! The washing machine is the worst - the timer is always out. Sent for engineer and by the 4th time, they said they would charge me... I will NEVER buy anything from CURRYS again.
