I will have to checkout B&Q as we dont have Wilko not bothered about the price...can they be propagated???

Yes. I'm trying now. a bit late. Best is when the the tubers are starting to throw up new shoots. You take one with a bit of the mother tuber so the the cutting can still enjoy mother's milk (the best in the world and can't understand why young mothers refuse to breastfeed their babies! My nurse snatched my baby who came out 1am whilst I literally passed out and gave him powder milk. I reckoned she must have been on commission!)

I haven't done this one. The result is that half of the cuttings are dead .. the other half hasn't rooted yet.

Apart from rain, I want to cry for you, no wilko, no nothing..

I had some of these - very juicy, but a bit prickly. They look lovely.. We have been drizzly as well.

If you go online, Wilko might deliver. I really like Wilko's tubers.

Behind the second Kingfisher pic is a pot of Crocosmia (I think) this flowers very late for me where as everyone else seems to have these out for quite a while now... can anyone detect from its foliage that it is a Crocsmia ..Thank you for your replies.

I so wish to see a live kingfisher.. This one has got striking colours, but a real one is a real one. On my bucket list!

Love Blueberries, I too was temped to buy a pot the other day but had to desist for this season at least..hahahaha...I have them with natural Yogurt and Alpen for Brekkie... :)

Wait till they reduce them - normally £5 for a big pot. That's how I got my Patriot. Do you have poundshop. They sell something rootless ones, but if you are careful, you might be able to get one that will live. Or put a request on freelywheelly to see if anyone in Ireland will sell you one on the cheap or even gumtree!

@Zenj I only afford these room and board if they keep the slugs off my Hostas...they seem to be getting lazy and may be served with an eviction notice very soon...better shape up Kermit :) and stop smiling at me

Don't forget I lost £14.50 in the bootsale.. This is how poor I am! Millions does not make me happy.. Flowers do.. but I do hope someone remember me in his/her will... Hahaha!

Greed is the source of all troubles.. If you want my name, start a private conversation! Hahaha!

@Logan saw your rhubarb in a pot. Is that a new one? Or you have always grown it in pot? Mine took up so much room. I had another variety for 50p, but I potted it up and it died on me!:cry:

That's the one I bought for 50p at B&Q. If I had planted it out, I would be having my first one now.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

It's was indoors and might be too hot and buggy for it. The root ball's gone.
