No it's not a baby. That the Mr. Woodpecker from last winter. He's thinned down and scruffy these days. I don't know where the Mrs. has got to. Perhaps they only tolerate each other in early spring. lol

Stripping the rubber off the side of cars, well that's exactly what my geese use to do with every car that was parked in front of our house on the farm.

Been to Eden project and must say there are quite a few tourist attractions in Cornwall. I love the Menack Theatre most and can understand why The Tempest is always staged there. Quite hilarious when I saw a German people carrier negotiating a bend, driven by a very good woman driver! I don't fancy driving in Cornwall. One lane was so narrow that I don't think the German whip could go through and I had to fold both mirrors to drive through and I only had a two-tone-red Vauxhall Corsa, which was an embarrassment two months after purchase!

Hope you have a good day out, @Verdun

How miserable is that? I feel for you. @Zenj won't be faring much better.. But all is not lost. According to weather reports, Gert will drag up some fine weather ... could be Indian summer for all of us!

Ah! @Zenj is probably enjoying his sunshine already! Keep fingers crossed. I'm in a bit of drizzly state. Nice for my half dead irises.

@johnny canoe Hope you're going to show your fish as well. Mr Woodpecker looks like he need a good fattening up. Now he looks like his babies .. Whoa, I would love to have that experience... but even my robin sulks me.

I have cooked my apples, @Logan very sour after tons of sugar.. I wonder if I put salt into it instead of sugar. When I took a photo over the slow cooker, I saw a flare of light or fire because of the steam... Will upload the gooo in a minute! LOL!

@alp I've googled sour apples, it says to counteract the sour add salt. But do it in a small test batch first, also you can try spices, cinnamon or mixed spice. Try it with a test first.
I hope that can help.

Yes, I think it's a baby and hence colours not fully developed. So lovely. I literally saw a tits feeding its baby on a branch next to a feeder. I just couldn't manage to capture such beauties .. Too grainy and they are too jittery for me to capture. How lucky you are, @zenji !!

I think I'd better look out for a feeder with a tray .. They look so settled here..

Yes, you're in for a fine day, @zenji Hurrah! And I don't mind the rain .. or drizzle or overcast sky .. evaporation won't happen so fast. Need to sort out the big bedroom.

Now, here's my gooooo - no flame though

I will definitely add a lot of cinnamon - supposed to be very good for health.. but not a lot or my detective son will turn his nose up..
