Finally, got hold of my irises. They look a bit horrible, not because of the delay, but the rhizomes are like less than 2 inches and are not plump or healthy. I'm going to refund them £20 once they gave me the correct email address. I paid £24.50 for the whole lot. But some of them really look horrible.

How much sugar to add to the apples, do you know, @Logan ?

She did give me a refund, but I returned £20 to her as I have actually got the box today, but the quality of the irises is a bit horrible. I took away £4.50 because of the poor quality of the rhizomes. They were dry, shrivelled and too short.

She's very happy and said Thanks again. I am growing them the way Chris Beardshaw recommended. In pots and in free-draining soil.

If she had put down LIVE plants, she might have it delivered sooner. Those rhizomes look pretty horrid.

I should have thought about that.. But the compost is quite moist any way.

Ok, they might look better tomorrow. I've been cutting out the old fruiting branches of the redcurrants. There's a lot of new stems growing up, that will give them more room.

Good morning @Logan and all others .. Grey, but it's still early 14c to 22c. Perfect for weeding, not so much for plants. Had my first sugardop tomato yesterday and it was sooooo sweet.
