@Verdun in the guise of what??:p:ROFLMAO:

Lunch time! I thought today was Friday, must be missing my son! Or even the car which will take me to bargain hunt.

It's hot. I am tidying up the bedrooms instead. Don't fancy swimming in the sweat. Sowing some more courgette seeds and might make some raised seed bed inside the kitchen or lean to to avoid being baked or sauna-ed.

When I manage to retrieve my camera from my niece's car which is probably amongst baby Elliott's stuff I will take some before and after shots(y).

So hot .... aren't we a grumpy lot .......no pleasing us is there:D

Been out in the garden since 9:30, planted up a lot , plus a couple more big containers. Also did a load of deadheading. Boiled to a sizzle, then came in an hour ago to do a pile of ironing......still boiled to a sizzle......who invented ironing....bet it was a man;).

Just off back out to do some more bits in the garden, but will probably leave the last couple or so dozen p!ants untill tomorrow.

Hubs has cooked us my fave dinner , chicken, aubergine, courgette, parsnip, tomatoes and garlic casserole with rice. The whole house and garden smells soooo yummy.... can't wait!

But must finish off a few odd jobs and then jump in the shower first:)

Catch up with you all later(y)

Agree @Logan , I tend to plant out in the mornings, then attend to all the other gardening jobs in the afternoon....... don't think I could cope with gardening in the evening though...... that's my ' me' time:D:ROFLMAO::D.

I have found out that @Upsy Daisy is one of my biggest chatterboxes! Haha! I can talk, I like a natter too much!

I admire your energy, Daisy. I went out and chopped up some dead iris stalks and I removed some Lutea yellow peony leaves and 10 minutes into it, I was sweating and it came down like a big rain drop. You're quite right. When it was too cold, we moaned, when it's too hot, I moaned. How could you work in such intense heat? But the vitamin D might be good for your bones, Daisy!

Mr Daisy is a cook, lucky you. Don't eat too much rice as it is full of arsenic. Perhaps, soak it for 2 hours and cook it in open pan so that the arsenic gets a good send off in form of evaporation. Now I prefer to have potatoes.

Why bother about ironing. I haven't ironed anything for 3 years. Before, I only ironed my son's school uniforms. Don't tell me you're one of those who iron their knickers?

I went out to show my face and worked for more than half an hour. Got 2 sturdy crates from the shop to grow my salad/flowers in. I just put them on the grass and put some compost in and grow more food or flowers in them. Will get 2 more. No nailing, no digging.

:D :ROFLMAO:...true.

Oh! I get hot @alp , but I also wear all cotton clothing, sun hat , sunglasses and use a huge sun parasol staked into the ground beside me as I work my way round the garden. And I still sizzle !!!.

Hubs does most of the cooking.....so do all my sons!!!

They eat a lot of rice in the middle east, so no worries, he knows how to cook it (y)(y). I don't really worry too much about the latest do's and don'ts with regards to food--once eggs were supposed to be bad for you, then last week they said that they are sooo good they should be on prescription !! And fish.... our seas are so polluted , dread to think what else we consume each time we eat it. I would rather live my days eating things I like in moderation that being persuaded to eat things I am not particularly fond of (y)(y).

:D:ROFLMAO::D... No I don't iron mine or anyone else's knickers, ( but I do iron tea towels:) ) .

You exhaust yourself for no reason, @Upsy Daisy and the electricity used is not good for the environment. I remember seeing Keely Hawes in that series about her daughter being kidnapped, she kept flinging all her linen to straighten them. Funny enough, my sister in law also did that and she never bothers about ironing. Now that your OH is not working, you could cut ironing down. Just give the clothes a good fling or two..
