Less ironing is good for the environment. Think Daisy is trapped by routine and doesn't feel right if she doesn't do it.

No sainsbury basic easy cook rice. Do it in microwave.

Don't iron sheets or Duvets ..IF ...I can fold them nicely straight off the line, but like pillow cases ironed

That is soooo true @alp ....strangely...I don't feel happy unless I know that I've done the ironing......even been known to iron towels

Is your OH from the Middle East? Or he has worked there! Even my ex doesn't like rice much. He prefers potatoes and loves gravy which is like a swear word to me. I only use the sauce from cooking. Any shop buy gravy sounds offensive to me..

There, poor thing, you have been brainwashed and conditioned .. Don't' feel happy unless you've ironed them. I save a packet not to iron anything.

Good morning, everybody: Been up since 5am. Watered all the newly planted and the other long suffering perennial thirsty. Did 2 laundry rounds. Defrost the fridge and mopped my laminated floor. Hoovered some areas and finally have a chance to sit down.

Thank heavens there is a lovely breeze. I'm dreading it. Either my plants in the lean to will shoot up or collapse with heat and die.

Burma star - the colour is deeper and richer than this, the flash has bleached it out a bit.

a poppy with a bit of sheen. I just love the sheen.

To my absolute amazement, I have another plant for this frilly edged oriental poppy!

Morning all, @alp you put me to shame....all I've done is........well, eat breakfast!

Woke up with a thumping headache, so have dosed myself up before attempting anything. I was extra careful to ensure that I drank loads of fluids yesterday as I am very prone to them, so I'm a bit miffed to say the least.

I think all I will do in a minute is to walk around the garden placing the potted up plants in the places that I think are right for them. Then once the head eases up I will plant them in .

Popping round to my sister's as she now has my camera, so will no doubt stay for a cuppa and chat.

@Upsy Daisy I did tell you to slow down. The heat has been terrifying. Don't overdo today. Order from all of us here. I somehow knew this would happen. You stretched yourself too much in this heat ..

What do you mean? I'm a lady of leisure! I only work in blitz .. I don't know how you could plant those in such terrifying heat whilst you're still nursing yourself.. Be good today and no more gardening .. apart from the inspection that is, which we all do! Haha! Off now. I nearly fell asleep earlier.
