You know why my backgarden was piled high? We used to have a woodburner and all the stuff from the burner went to add to the heap. Then the morning glory had a field day and grew everywhere, I suppressed it and other horrible weeds using sheets, plastic bags and sails.

Morning all,
@alp, did you sleep well? It was warm last night, but managed to get to sleep. Plumber fixed the tap, he tightened it up, said if any problems let them know. OH had to water the blueberries and polyanthus.
@Upsy Daisy how did it go yesterday?

Good morning to all: got up at 5 and watered the driest parts of the garden - already 2 small butts of water gone! Quite frightening as the garden is just so thirsty and I try not to use the metered water.

Watch Chelsea yesterday. Love bit of square meter that Rachel DT talked about. Love the plants she mentioned as well. Don't think I will go to any of the shows as they are too expensive.

Morning chatterboxes :)
Lovely weather again and a scorcher to come. Here near the coast cooling breezes are welcome.
Have good day everyone ;)

We in Essex also have a bit of fresh breeze. Most welcoming. I am dreading my plants being toasted in the lean to.

This morning, when I was watering the plants, I saw something moving and thought it was a frog. Oh, no, it was a mouse with a tail. I quickly shut my kitchen door. I don't want anything dead inside my house or rat in my house either.

Morning L,a and V, hope you are all well.

Phew!......what a hot night, didn't get much sleep at all! Think it was a combination of the heat and being overtired:(.

Never mind at least we have another beautiful day ahead of us:)

Thanks for asking @Logan , we all enjoyed a fantastic day yesterday, Lovely to see all the family and our dear Uncle loved his cake that my cousin got for him .He was a saxophonist in a a band and she had it decorated with tiny gold saxophones..... brilliant!

Well I am hoping to finish off the remaining planting out today, then I can relax a bit ,knowing that all the plants are in their final homes!(y)

Have a Tremendous Thursday everyone :D

Hurrah, the shackle is going to be off. Would love to see all your berry shrubs. Didn't know you were soooooooooo good. I knew you were goooooooooood though! :p;)

@Upsy Daisy Please don't stretch yourself too much .. You had over 100 plants out in a hot day and today is even hotter. I don't know if I could leave my house as the lean to is like an oven.

Sounds like you had a lovely day chez Uncle. I hope @johnny canoe is OK, @Belmont attached a photo in weather thread and the beautiful house shows a bit of damage. Quite frightening when you have storms like that.

How not to takes photo, lesson 2.........don''t leave your camera in someone's car after they give you a lift home:(

Yes, I was only thinking when I did my previous post that the 1st June was getting nearer @ Logan, a day to celebrate!.......but don't get legless :D:ROFLMAO:.

@alp, I have a huge sun shade that I stake into the ground and move it around the garden with me as I work, so I will be fine thanks(y)
I never take risks with the sun having had skin cancer 18 yrs ago that required 2 surgeries to get the all clear and having a cousin die from it when young too:(

@Upsy Daisy LOL! Oh, dear! You haven't had a good time. That's the trouble. I think I don't have had enough vitamin D, which can be a cause of bone diseases. Because of my rampant heat rashes, I tried to stay out of the sun. Also, I have a big patch of moles, so I am quite scared. Take it easy and drink lots of water please. You must have a big garden to house that many plants.
