I've not bought off them before , maybe in the future when sales are on. I normally get bulbs from peter Nyysen but last year some other times bits were not good enough in my opinion, Dahlia tubers are quite small but they are cheap compared to others. Best place I bought bulbs from Anglia Bulbs dearer than PN but the bulbs are top quality and the biggest, get two free gifts with every order as well but they don't quite have the choice of others .

Must google Anglia Bulbs. I bought from PN once. Now that I go to three gcs in Essex, I am lucky enough to see quite a bit of Taylor Bulbs and others. I really like to buy them at gcs as I can hunt for the biggest and heaviest tubers, as you said. Bargain hunting gets me to go out and makes it a day out. I really think I shouldn't buy any more until I move. I was thinking of moving my stuff to an allotment to tidy up the garden a bit. I have hellebores and irises everywhere. I'm incorrigible as I have bought one more hellebore.

I have the feeling that a lot of people are losing their jobs because of Brexit. A lot of houses are on sales. There is one lovely house going for £350K in Upminster and it is very near a station and the garden is about 106 feet! Crikey! I feel so excited. No words can describe my excitement. I hope I can have some offers, but I will put in an offer regardless, but tell the vendor to go on accepting offers. I am sure it will go in no time. There's another bungalow in a cheaper but no so posh area. It also has a big garden. Whopee!

Watch out for Whiteout Wednesday! Roads, rail and airport travel chaos fears as snow warning is brought FORWARD with two inches hitting the south tonight and -11C freeze making UK colder than St Petersburg
  • Up to 4in (10cm) is expected tonight and forecasters warn icy conditions could bring travel chaos
  • 2,000 gritters dig into three million tonne salt mountain, while RAC forecasting 37,000 breakdowns
  • Fears of villages being cut off, power cuts and mobile phone masts being put out of operation
  • Severe weather warning in place across UK, with South East expected to be badly affected by snow
  • Commuters are warned to take care tomorrow as snow turns to black ice in sub-zero temperatures

Whoa! -11c is just shocking! Going to hug my duvet now! Bliss! Good night, everyone!

Woke up 3.43 and did 2 hours' of painting. Thank heavens that the whole can of paint was finished as this gave me an excuse to stop. My hands are now full of sensitive red lumps and bumps. I might even go to bed after this.

There is no snow outside, nor is it raining. Another day of applying another layer of paint. Just thinking of it makes me feel tired.

Perhaps Zenji could alert us to the discount. I didn't know there was such a discount. If I had known, I would have had a look. Perki - Farmy Gracy is a lovely online experience - very classy!

2nd day of painting and all the paint - droplet, dollop, mist settled on all my orifices ( eyes, nose, and even mouth) and I am so exhausted. Thank heavens my son did most of the work today. Didn't have a chance to go out to see my plants and the camera is still awol. I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

A layer of hard frost in the front lawn.

No snow and London commuters are now complaining about being stifled in the tube!

Not that cold. No chill factor or wind in the air.

Bon voyage to your son. I am sure he doesn't want to come back. I am thinking of doing what Tetters had done. Bought son a ticket to Australia and let him find his path. Great time for Brits to go to these places as even though it's winter, the climate will be BRILLIANT and forgiving for the Brits and for me. I hate the heat and humidity.

Driving safely, @Zenj . Roads could be slippery with dark ice.

Forgot to say, Australia will be in their summer, so proper slippers and shorts is a must. Hope your son has a good time. Wish I were young!

Finally, my computer table, piano, sofa and TV set are back to where they were before the mayhem.

Now, I'm going to cuddle my duvet and snore! Have a restful night, everyone!
