We have been a bit warmer today. Been out viewing some bungalows in this borough. Pleased with one, but the estate agent said he expected it to be sold in the next 2 weeks. Yes, location, location. The 2 bungalows are very next the station. So it might be snapped up very quickly.

Bought another blueberry for £5.99 called Duke AGM, supposed to be good. Then a variegated ilex for £7 with berries. Ah, hang on. I might have to check to see if the berries are genuine. In Homebase, an old gentleman pointed to the berries and smiled at me, telling me that they were plastic. How naughty. My eyesight really was bad. LOL!

Bought 2 more hellebores. Hopefully, it will flower next year.

Yes, Gemma. Nothing to be done in the garden. Thank heavens that I have tons to do in the house. I feel so depressed just looking at the state of every single room. All jumbled, too much and too little room. Such a lot of painting to do. Wish I could hibernate.

Woke up early because of the heat. All dehumidifiers are on to dry up the walls.

Not that cold in the lean to where washing machine is chugging along.

Will plant out my hellebores.

Took out 2 water butts and shifted the water. I know I should de-clutter, but no! More butts, more plants.

Everywhere round my house was with heavy dark clouds, but no rain for me.

Saw a pink Camellia flowering. Will take a photo tomorrow.

Last night, heavens really opened and it rained heavily, much to my delight. The two freegled water butts are much better than ours; not to say the taps look robust and seem never to have leaked whereas ours bought from Wilko, and Wickes have numerous leaks. I have the feelings that these were bought from gcs rather than these diy stores.

I still have one more to use.

It was very sunny this morning and we more or less tidied one room. Went out 11.30 and after that all cloudy, windy and cold. Thank heavens that I took the duvet coat at the last minute.

All the butts filled up. Very happy. Watched Manchester by the sea and I really cried. Casey Affleck won an oscar for it. It was a bit slow, but tragic twists and turns. Another lovely bungalow gone -- with a 52 feet garage and 0.4 miles to 2 tube stations! Sob story again!

Oh, dear! Blankets needed for my plants. Serious business!

The Beast hits the South East! London and Home Counties face snow warning with four INCHES on way and 70mph gales (but that doesn't stop some taking a chance with the waves)
  • The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow on Tuesday and Wednesday across much of Britain
  • Air blown 2,500 miles from near the North Pole set to bring the most low-level snow of the country's winter
  • Forecasters said there is chance of power cuts and disruption to mobile phone services across affected areas

Its going to snow down south :ROFLMAO: oh bless . Makes me laugh weather forecasts you would think it was the end of the world , I can't believe how things come to a near stand still because of a few snow flakes. No snow warning here even with snow snow forecast but it looks like its going to get cold this week -8C on Wednesday apparently, think I will get a couple of bins out to cover some delicate / new shrubs. Snow quite good really its a natural insulator, the plants will be warmer under snow than getting frozen by hard frosts .

Perki Agree totally. It sounds like the end of the world. Well, it's called WINTER! That's so normal. Met Office is always like that. When it's going to rain, they always give it a negative connotation. For heavens' sake, we do need rain. Your chart is full of rain.

Not a bad yesterday ahead. Yesterday morning was glorious, but we spent it tidying up the back bedroom. Went to buy some wallpaper as those I ordered Fleur de Lis have not arrived. Very surprised to see wallpaper reduced to 5.03 and £4.03 in Homebase. We bought some Vinyl good quality ones at £5.03. Well chuffed.

So sunny that I couldn't help myself taking photos. Can't find my Samsung, so this Panny will do. Am afraid the quality may not be very good

Good morning and it's going to be a messy day. Misting the plastered walls Going to use 50% water 50% paint and it's going to be almightily wet, drippy and messy.

Are you sure, Perki? -47c or -47F? This reminds me of the demise of a craft flying to the red planet expedition. It never arrived and they said they confused metric and imperial measurements.

Some areas in US recorded 27 degrees below zero, but it doesn't say C or F, so you could be right.

We had dinner 8.30 and we had been painting from 4pm and I was sweating profusely. Went to my favorite gc and bought a fully freckled yellow single hellebore - too dear to tell the price. Think about mortality and everything is justified.

I am so tired and tomorrow is another day or travail!

We are raining here too. Another thing worthy of mention is that my neighbour is letting his house out whilst they live in a massive shed like structure at the back. Son said that they use a septic tank and they kept having problem with their sewage and Thames and Essex Water have been in twice.

I dont know about C or F , I know they use F over there but it was on sky / bbc news so not sure ?? i am sure it will come up again I'll see then.

Were looking on farmer graces website yesterday at dahlia's , they got some really nice one's which I fancy but they are on the pricey side £4.45 each I normally get them for £2 or 2.50 , hopefully I might find the dahlia I like else where . They have quite a few canna's as well but it doesn't say virus free so I would give them a miss as well

Yes, if you have gcs which stock them, it might be better to buy them at £2.49 and even cheaper still if Wilko stock something interesting. I am glad that I have bought from Farmer Gracy. Lovely packaging and it's a shame I didn't find enough to buy last time. I really like Zenj's honka, I might buy them if I saw Fragile and the black one in Wilko or reduced in gc.
