You've pinched my sunshine as well! I've never felt so unloved! Yes, take a woolly hat as it's better safe than sorry! Hopefully, the sun will come out and I can do a bit of tidying up! Have a nice powerful walk and make sure you take your better half with you. Good for the bones and muscles!

Sleeting and the sky is dark. I have just had an offer from a company via the estate agent. Very scared. Never heard of this practice before.

Hello everybody. Guess who's trying to buy my house, my neighbours - the ones who cause me with so much grief. Now they are into real estate business. Apparently, they have made too much money practising alchemy! LOL!

I haven't set foot in the garden today--we had 1 1/2" of rain overnight so the paths are muddy; we have wind now with temperatures in the mid 40's; and I am holed up in the kitchen making Christmas breads. The cats are holed up in their insulated, rain-proof, and padded shelter, and they are still complaining!
If things clear up tomorrow I'll pick lettuce, peppers, and cherry tomatoes. If not, I'll just wait for better weather and do some more baking!

Mmmm, I can smell the perfume of home baking from here! I haven't been out either. It has been sunny, wet, sleeting, overcast and wet. Mid 40s in C, @marlingardener ? You're so lucky to have all those to pick. Even salad leaves would not co-operate with me! Been looking at houses and after the shock, no need to waste time. Very depressed!

No gardening, but watched Stately Homes by Phil Spencer. Lots of lovely gardens, very Capabability Brown and some very Italianate parterres! I love programmes like these - ornate decorative artworks and some naughty virile lion hugging a clock for all to see. And marble and mahogany everywhere. Wish I had done a grand tour or min-tour to Italy ..

Evening !:D

How's everyones day been?

@alp!!!.... your neighbours from hell!!!!!, Are you going to sell to them?
Tough decision time:unsure:

Put yourselves first and foremost. They may have made their money in a dodgy way, but at the expense of your health and wellbeing. If I were you , and the offer is acceptable, I would have no qualms about taking their money!!

Not a bad day weather wise, no rain turned up.
Suppose to get quite warm later in the week.....BBQ time maybe:unsure:

Enjoyed the film Johnny Engish , light hearted and funny... just what we needed!(y)
Only 6 of us in the cinema ( in that one, but they have 8 screens)....all women and we were all of similar age . We all ended up in the same cafe afterwards too !!:ROFLMAO:

I immediately upped the offer and I think I have a death wish. The thought was just infuriating. Gassing me to force me out and now flash their ill-gotten money in front of me. The offer is finished now and I don't regret it. Dreg of society.

Been falling asleep watching Phil Spencer's Stately Homes and the first time I have ever seen Castle Howard, Burghley, Woburn Abbey Holkam Hall and Houghton Hall on TV. Very lovely places. Glad that you have had a nice day in the cinema, Upsy!

Well, at least, it's NOT raining. Going to be a drier day

And by the look of it, the weather is going to be better than yesterday.

Yesterday, removed the clear plastic over a pot inside a propagator, saw my thalictrum seeds showing up green. I only had very few seeds from the second pot I paid £2.75 for. Very happy that it has germinated. Hopefully, it will survive the winter. One never knows, plants don't do well in extreme weather of which we have had various horrid stories. Also, the fig branches I got from freegle have shown up leaves. Next thing I need is to find an allotment to house my collections of all sorts. Got rid of a Stella Cherry by gifting it to a friend.

Afternoon alp , I don't wash my dahlia tubers it defeats the object of drying the tubers, according to

Cut them down to 15cm / 6inch and remove as much soil as you can around the tubers and turn them upside down ( for 1 or 2 week ) for excess water to drain out of the tubers. Then store them in box with a covering up to their neck of old compost / wood chip / sawdust. I store mine in the tomato bed in the gh. Rats or mice may try and eat the dahlia tubers

Yes, lovely day and I went out to attempt to clear the garage. Have tons of sand - sharp sand, kiln sand, building sand. I am speechless. Move more pots to the end. Lovely weather to come on Thursday! Enjoy it whilst we can! 17c Whoa! Just bliss!

Good idea! These people think they are bigger than others and one person even parked his Merc in the between of 2 bays, exactly in the middle, probably his car was scratched before. You can see these are posh cars and come with them attitude. £35 is cheap. Here, £60 in Tesco little car park which used to be free. A traffic warden went in and if the wheels were outside the lines, there went £60. Now, the council put on a meter and all drivers have to pay, including staff members!
