Monty appears much, much smaller in person than I had imagined and than on TV but most people do. Adam was separate, filming something elsewhere but he is a giant! I can't imagine him floating around a border without flattening perennials! I struggle myself.

Walking over that bridge in the July sunshine, we usually go to the flower show on members day for my birthday, Chelsea pricing is ridiculous and too claustrophobic for us. Wisley was nice but a much smaller scaled show and is in September

I remember seeing a video in which a woman holds up a bag of Epsom salt, saying how it will do something to the plants and make them bloom beautifully. Zenji, could you please send me a link in pc please? Cheap and cheerful link please!

@Zenji

Thank you. I remember that name Elixir! LOL! Customer long time ago. When is a good time to take camellia cuttings, any one? I really want to take some of my own. It's been outside for more than 18 years. I have only started to like it this year.

Now that explains it. You're a tall guy! LOL!

When Monty retires, I am sure Adam Frost will be carrying on as he was handy man to the great Geoff Hamilton.

I won't go to Chelsea again as it invariably rained, and was so crowded with people 10 deep and I, being a shortie, could only see people's shoulders and heads and NO PLANTS! But son loved posing with weaved willow works, so all was worth it.

We only went for the afternoon session and even that was expensive.

@Mark56 Are these E G Woodhouse or I have got a wrong plant please?

@johnny canoe I hate the word psychic, but having watched Sensing Murder, I must say things are quite spooky and some people are in tune with the dead. One thing I don't understand is that the psychics never solved those murders. :eek::eek::eek:!

I remember listening to this story in which a son was murdered but his body just could not be found. His mother had a dream that he was buried in a well and it turned out to be true.

@Mark56 Not to worry. I certainly don't want you to slip on the slippery clay. Yes, we are RAINING NOW. I came in because I didn't want to be worried about the leaking gutter on the top of the lean to.

Hint hint from @Perki. Went to a brand new Lidl yesterday and saw tons of dahlias. One could be Caribbean Fantasy or Edge of Joy. i.e white with red edges. A packet of 8 but NO prices, no price on the magnolias either. I am so tempted to buy a potted magnolias, but they looked like dead twigs. Had a look at the cucumbers and they were soft and no good. Got some spuds and carrots for 19p each. I will take a pic of all my fertlisers. I hate the word buy, if you believe me!

The magnolia were £7.50 and the dahlias £6 far to many of the same type for me. I noticed they were selling bedding plants already ( petunia etc ) don't normally plant anything tender here to at least late May / June. You got get in early for plants from supermarkets they not staffed appropriately to look after plants.

I think B&Q is selling magnolia at £10 and they looked far happier than those twigs with no leaves or sign of buds. £6 for 8 of the same plants. Which strategist conceived this idea of marketing? They also had box. That was a new store opened 2 weeks ago and is situated in between a Sainsburys and a big Tesco. And soon there will be another one at the back, less affluent area.

I use epsom salts for my grape vine, tomatoes are prone to magnesium deficiency.
In your case @Upsy Daisy I would be looking at a ericaceous feed or Iron sulphate feed, it probably more to do with the PH if the leaves are yellowing.
