Yes, I knew he was in the big store across the road as there were posters everywhere.....think he was just taking a break!:)

No I suppose we shouldn't grumble, compared to some our weather isn't that bad. I have a friend who lives in South Africa and whenever she comes over it always stuns her how green our country is......so we should be grateful to the rain I suppose :D(y)

I have used Epsom salt for years as a folier feed find it benefits all plants and lawns I buy from eBay or amazon cheaper than gc ,eg

Yes, there seem to be good, relevant reasons for using Epsom salts for plants. Epsom salt helps improve flower blooming and enhances a plant's green color. It can even help plants grow bushier. Epsom salt is made up of hydrated magnesium sulfate (magnesium and sulfur), which is important to healthy plantgrowth.

Ref Epsom salts 1 tablespoonful to a gallon of water mix well give them a good drench
I usually do once in May and another in August if your shrub is all ready in leaf you could do now on a dry day ,Some gardeners sprinkle a small amount in a circle around the plant not touching it and let the rain water it in .They also say this way keeps the slugs off ?

I remember seeing a video in which a woman holds up a bag of Epsom salt, saying how it will do something to the plants and make them bloom beautifully. Zenji, could you please send me a link in pc please? Cheap and cheerful link please!

Naff! Monty is not as tall as Adam Frost, but he's not tiny. Beardshaw was said to be tiny. I remember your photo of Monty in Hampton Court. Hampton Court was always so beautiful.

Been in T shirt and shivering all 2 hours outside, mending the dodgy fence son and I put up. Sun is still out, but cold.

River Thames bordering the palace court, so beautiful! Much better than Buckingham Palace!
