Thanks Upsy, yes as Alp says get your husband to check the corners of the eye in the light by a window or outside, glasses on if he needs them :D

Isn't it crazy Zenj, I've noticed triple pricing there compared to elsewhere and the stock is also more tiresome and not so well looked after compared to nurseries. I also saw they were crafty in removing the reduced stand. That's the only part I normally check when we go for a coffee or tea. Maybe we should start rummaging through their green bins as I hear they throw away thousands and thousands of pounds worth of stock each season to make room to newer purchases, what a waste - perfectly healthy specimens.

Yes, and some hellebores have got one flower! Even my hellebores all have 3 to 4 buds. I think they offer suppliers very little money and in turn, they are given the worst with very few flowers. I must say Summerhill and Hillcrest are far better than them. Summerhill is just perfect for a day out.

Been clearing out pots and pots and generally getting to see the floor of the lean to.

I'm noticing fewer and fewer Chickadees coming for seed when I call them. They must be busy preparing nests and all that other stuff. Stumpy did show up for seed yesterday, I haven't seen him/her for several weeks. Stumpy is the little Chickadee with only one leg.
A customer of mine showed up with a container of poppy seed she harvested last year. They are a beautiful double bloom variety. I don't know if they might be a type used for bread or opium? Going to start some seeds right away, she had the front of her house lined with them last year and they sure were eye catching.

Tomato seed is all planted and on the heat mat, Marigolds are already germinating. Put up another plant rack in the GH.

Johnny: I hope there isn't another posher eaterie near you! LOL! Poor Stumpy! I hope you fed him well. I have now some bolder tits which stayed on the tree even though I was looking at them and standing near. Before they just dashed and did a runner. I also caught some gold finches. Today, I scattered some dry worms in a lantern shade feeder and hope other birds such as robin will come a-running. Been sowing seeds. Johnny, I am ashamed to say, my seedlings aren't a patch on yours. All died from extreme heat from the radiator as the cold weather made the radiator work overtime and the heat pumped out was just too much. I managed to kill all the cupcake seeds. Even the spares in the propagator have been swallowed by flying bugs. I have tons of sticking tapes, but just can't find one!

Now that I have ended the day's work, the sun has duly obliged to shine! Nice and warm sitting next to the west facing windows.

Oh my gawd! I emailed them and they never replied. It's going to be exciting. I asked the woman who had the biggest varieties of stocks round this area, and her answer was no. She was interested in triliums and I mustn't start another expensive game! I am waiting for my camassias to throw out flowers and the bird of paradise too!

@Mark56 SPRING has SPRUNG in Windsor. Perhaps, they know there is going to be wedding going on!

That forsythia is stunning. I have a few daffs, very disappointing. Ah, I have something to blame this on - the beasts from the east! LOL!

I also have ONE lone daff in the first pic. Like the way the petals throw back!

Due to the lack of choice and time, I bought these in Wyevale.

Mark, are those Tom Thumb mini daffodils? We have a clump of TTs that were given to us by a very dear friend as an Easter gift. They are now in their third location and doing well.
Your spring photos are dazzling--thanks for posting them!

Hehe, indeed Alp. I believe it is N. 'Jetfire' I will get more next year for definite. The beast from the East must have been even harsher for you there.

Yep, I belong to an Alabama Rot Facebook group, it's very scary and on the rise. We always wash Barneys paws, legs, stomach and noses after walks with cold water and then an anti septic spray as this is the advice given by the specialist vets Anderson Moores. Must be more difficult for Logan with multiple dogs
