I put shredded paper in the compost bin, cardboard and cereal boxes. It's classed as the brown that is put in. I've also put in old cotton towels, they rot down really well.:)

A lot of businesses will go from this country if we don't get any deals for after brexit, which is next march.

I'm not worried about that. Spaniards will have jitters too. We bought tons of produce from them. It's not a one-way street. They have to hold their stance as they don't want the EU to crumble, but we fought the war to have our says .. All the more sad for those sacrificing their lives. A lot of businesses went up the wall as the toffs in the government hadn't staggered the rate rise. A huge jump to the roof has left a lot of businesses unable to absorb their rate shock! Uncertainty in Brexit has not helped. Propaganda everywhere! Mr Putin and his good lads .. Let's not go on..

Going to move my peppers to my sunniest spots in my sunlounge. Wonder what kind of peppadew chillis I have bought. They do have long ones though. Need to go off as the kitchen and lean to need to be tidied up. I sound like a broken record!

Logged in again to see if I get the Staple gun! Grrrrrrrrrr! Just sent another begging email with PHONE NUMBER to the person.

Yes, take cuttings .. 1/3 perlite or 1/3 sand will do the trick! Even an ignoramus like me can do it.! Ummmm ... @Perki ??? Detective Miss Marple's talking to you???:LOL:!

Off again. Can slack like that. Till another slacking moment comes along ..

Did some more weeding but the ground is still dry.:(

I did some weeding too, and the ground is just right for the exercise. Went out to get a free single headboard. It's very sunny here! Will go out and do more. I have to leave the grass mowing to the end of this month as I want to give a chance for the bald patch to fill out. Some seeds have taken roots .. Will sow some more and water every day.

It's going to be dry and warmer with 24c predicted on Monday! Might go to the zoo on that day. Didn't do much, but harvested quite a few toms as the skins were splitting. Put all the camellias near the patio doors and the two scented roses near the patio door and I can smell the perfume every time I come in. Felt cheated as I bought the rose because it was with a white rose on the label. Turned out to be pink. This morning, I read the label REMEMBER ME! Pink buds turn to white upon flowering .. I really should have read the label! Nice sweet surprise!

Evening.

What lovely weather we had today , sunshine and the perfect temperature for doing things without getting frazzled.
Hubs has extended my cold frame in readiness for overwintering plants. Re-potted some cuttings and have made a start at trying to identify some of my mixed up bulbs. Went round deadheading too,
Everything is still happily blooming away:)(y)

Hi all , your acer gorgeous  upsy along with the rest of your plants.

Rain this morning but brightened up in the afternoon but most thing stayed wet all day. More rain forecast tomorrow :cautious:.
More raking out on the back lawn till it went dark like yesterday, need a couple more bags of topsoil to get it more level.

Evening @Perki Thanks, I am feeling a tad happier with the garden now it's responding better to the lower temperatures. :).
Wish we had a bit more rain though as we are definitely in need of it :(

@Upsy Daisy You've still got a lot of lovely blooms! I have nothing but dahlias. A standard rose suddenly gifted me 2 flowers!

Good for your grass, @Perki , I am sure the rain will help grass cover any cracks or bald patches.

By the look of it, we will be dry and warm in East London!

Upsy: You've still got a lot of lovely blooms!
