We gave this giver our phone number and asked him to phone us so we could get a rubbish bin for our shingles. He didn't call. I asked him for his flat number and he didn't follow up. Any way, we couldn't pick up the bin at 11am as he said he would be out and whilst at the nursery, he phoned up and asked when we would be fetching the bin. We said we could be go home and fetch it on the way, he told us not to rush. He agreed to put son's name on the bin and leave it out. We went home straight to fetch it. He didn't leave the bin out and when we phoned, nobody answered. Son went to press the bells of some flats and nobody knew his name. Such a timewaster. And he texted, saying that he was drilling and couldn't hear the phone!

But I did do something exciting.

@Logan That's an essay! Hope Keith is keeping well and you should know that you have competition from this lady from Preston. She has thousands of marigolds and thousands more seedlings. I so admire her - growing pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe and all those. She even snores to nurture them! LOL!:LOL:
:LOL: i thought that i would make up for this morning:DYes thanks keith is doing well.
I didn't watch that part of gw, but when i was fast forwarding i did see how she rooted the pineapple.Only interested in what monty does and see nigel and nelly, but didn't see a lot of them this week. But monty let nell hold the basket for him. Last week's i did watch carol about the monarda/ bergamot/ beebalm, looked very nice.

When i was watering the polyanthus i was playing my iPod with headphones and singing along with what i was playing.

Don't seem to be getting any more rain for at least another week or so.

Yes Christmas things are starting to come in the shops, some people start early.
I know someone started in february.;);)

It's ridiculous how early Christmas preparations start now, pure madness!
The only good thing is that it serves to prolong the children's excitement.....magical times for them:)

Didn't she have a big garden @alp! And managing to grow all that fruit from her grocery shop items too....inspirational !! I've grown a melon before from a shop bought one, today I saved some pepper seeds .....will see how my luck goes next year :) And all those Marigolds......

Yes, only the first of September. In a way, it's nice that toddlers and kids have a good time going to gardening centre - a nice way to start them on plants.

Yes, make sure you store all your melon seeds and I did manage to harvest 2, the first year I moved here!

I saw 2 adults and some kids queueing up and wondered why. Then I saw the deer. The antlers were just amazing. Off to bed now. Everybody, sleep tight!

Thank you! But woken up by heat and noises x 2! Went to the window and saw nothing. Went back to bed, but couldn't sleep. So come down to do some research. Bought a Daphne Mezereum Rubra

for a £5 and it was marked up as £25. And a small Royal Crown for £3

It was the best of the whole lot. 3 branches. Need to find out where to put them.

A Glowing Ember for under £2.

Morning all, just got a few seconds. Milld this morning. Got the first seed catalogue yesterday, haven't had a chance to look at it.:)

It's so cold. You must put on a jumper. I have just made a cuppa for to warm myself up. The washing machine was playing up again. I saw it was 0.01 and it went up to 0.04 again. So mad at this Bosch and Currys!
