Thank you so much. I haven't got much left now. Cook this to use for 2 meals. What a nightmare. I think this time I'm about right, but the chicken thighs are not cooked. In the end, the whole thing is now in the saucepan rather than the rice cooker!

100% for effort! (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)! My star sister!
Jasmine rice is good if you bake it half fill a casserole dish with the rice top up with stock or water you want the stock to be an inch deeper than the rice cover and bake for half an hour or so

Morning all

Yes the bodyguard was very good.Glad that you both liked it @alp and @Leeski

We still had our thinner quilt on, it's still a bit warm for anything else.

Yesterday defrosted the freezer. I usually do it twice a year, but couldn't be bothered.

Baked? If I don't have to pay for gas, I will think about it. This jasmine rice is so strange. Those I bought from Chinese supermarket never poses such problem. It's like Glutinous rice more than jasmine rice! How I miss Hunan glutinous rice with chickens... with a bit salt and diced ginger and spring onions!

Yes, but I was lazy and lumped the rice with 5 thighs (our breakfast and dinner! - As I said, I was lazy!) Now the bottom of the rice has become a hard layer!:( But the chickens are now cooked. I have to say this is not the same jasmine rice I got from elsewhere. It's a glutinous rice. Have you tried it, @Leeski?

Ooops! It's Hainanese chicken

How do you make your spice stock please? I'd love to make something like that. I only bought it because it was reduced to 49p. Shame there was only one! I think this is more like sticky rice, putting me in so many sticky situations!:LOL:

Sounds yummy! Must try it.

Wait for delivery of Amazon organic flour .. Quite a bit - wonder where I should store them. Nightmare of another dimension!

Have to say that Balsmati is our fave too !(y)

Obviously where hubs comes from rice is high on their menu. He cooks it in several ways, but the favourite ( but time consuming) way is to steam it .
