Every time I think about buying something I just log in to rightmove and look at the houses I could by if I save my money and work hard :)

What a good idea! If I were your age, I would certainly be energised. I must do that more often!

Forgot about the plum tree!!! We got rid of one last year along with the cherry tree, never had a good yield from them and the birds caused havoc on them. Not keen on netting, unless it's out of main view ...so they had to go.The remaining plum tree has a few but nothing to write home about:(

That's why I bought tiny peach and nectarine trees. The big Stella tree has been gotten rid of years ago as the bums of the fruits were always marked with a cross before I can eat them. The plum tree is a brilliant one when it fruits. Sadly it fruits 1 out of 4 years and this year, I have had 4. But boy, they were delicious yellow flesh ones.

I am off too. Need to do something before the mercury hits 25 again. Have a nice trip, @Upsy Daisy , more harvesting for you, @Logan and more ingenuity from you, @Leeski !

Has anyone visit their local Wilko, I hear they are having sales. Although a bit hit and miss with which branches do or don’t.

Also, Blue Diamond (redfields etc) group are buying 8 of Wyevale’s biggest stores around the country as they are selling up. Not surprised ridiculous prices.

. Still don't know how to make them as big as yours.

Thanks,It's the variety, or feeding. I us a soluble fertilizer called chempak for ericaceous plants. It's probably the variety.:)

Doing well with your jams @Logan , again we don't eat jam either,
Thanks, i never used to make jam until i was married. Didn't know how to make it, mother in law showed me.
Got the plums from the hedgerows.

Got 3 plum trees and the best fruiting one czar.
The black birds have a go at them a bit and then the wasps. But we have so many it doesn't matter, there's more than enough.:)

I did on Sunday. But my local is always slow and bang everything's gone in no time.

So many stores closing because of the sudden rise in rates, making it impossible to absorb the cost. One book store keeper was crying on social media that she had only less than £13 taking on one whole day. Thanks to Amazon for killing our stores.

Wyevale is overpriced and the only time that is any good is when the seed packets are reduced. I quite agree with you. Shame one fewer Homebase to go to now.

Pull out a wisteria and the roots have gone through the post and I don't even know if it will live. Have had it for 10 years. Not a flower!

Thank you to you, Logan, on behalf of our wildlife. Wasps! Ah! No. Yesterday was nearly kissed by one. I had a look and shouted, "Buzz off" and it did or I will have one more itchy lump. I have had numerous bites from mossies and even now they are itchy like hell!

Alp, these rain lilies are for you (the color of the fall lilies looks more yellow than they are in reality)--and I threw in a native ruellia because they are blooming all over the yard and barn lot now. The yellow in bloom now you've already seen in my previous post. Thank you for your interest!

Raining again today. I got stung twice last week knee / wrist moved a branch and then suddenly many appeared  had to leg it quick.

Iam growing rosella tomateos this year, they ok but not as good as I expected. Suncherry premium are my favourite with Sungold a very close second. Growing sweet million not impressed, quite bland compared to SCP & SGold .
