I have never seen so many tomatoes on one plant they are still green and small will take some pics

Probably because of the heat and sunshine. Toms like heat!

Thanks, I'll eat them as a snack.

That's a good idea with apples. Score them around the middle so they don't burst.

Yes, Juicing is too much hard work. Some people are against juicing as it might spike your sugar level!

Morning all.
Your toms are doing very well @Leeski , must say we are having a brilliant tom harvest this year too(y)

Yum @alp I really love stuffed baked apples. Yes the apples should keep for ages so long as they don't have any damage at all

We picked a load of blackberries yesterday, love to put those with apples too, but usually eat them just fresh adding them to our breakfast or to yoghurt...lovely. We don't really eat a dessert so I don't make crumbles or pies with them unless we have friends over for a meal.

Doing well with your jams @Logan , again we don't eat jam either, although I have in the past made some when our brood were young

Our strawberries and both our grape vines were a disappointed this year, but thankfully blackberries, apples and pears are loaded(y)

I have 2 Lord Lambourne apples, 1 Mirabelle plums (small, flavour OK. Had one earlier and it should have been left on for a bit longer. Some passionfruits, Lots of lovely apples from a tree from either Aldi or Lidl - most incredible flavour and no wasp sting (yet) About 7 for a small tree 2nd year fruiting.) Been dunking trees in a big bucket of water and now they say it's going to be autumnal - well, probably not for Essex!

Amazing! Soon you will need a customised greenhouse! What varieties are they?

I have Sungold F1, Tesco finest Sugar Drop and one more. Some probably of different colours (yet to be seen, bought reduced), Gardener's delight. Want to try Rosella and Harfleuve(sic) as recommended in The Beechgrove garden.

I had to heat a metal rod and push it trough as there brittle plastic and think a drill would have shattered the plastic
Looks like it’s going to be wet and windy for the next wk :-(

Crikey! You're resourcesful. Be very careful though. What a clever idea to get round the brittleness of the material!

Same here! Had to laugh when Jim was so opinionated. My way or highway! Love the look of that German toms though. A big truss of continuous toms! Sunny again. I was banking on going out to trim all the tomato excess leaves to improve the airflow and water some pots.

I'm going to keep some seeds for good-flavour toms. Can't keep buying! Must follow this principle and try £50/per week living!

That’s what I try to live on it’s hard going especially when my mum keeps WhatsApping me with her purchases from posh garden centres

Yes, I was a bit tongue in cheek when I said that. A visit to THE nursery ruins all plans, especially when you have aches and pains and think about mortality!

Forgot about the plum tree!!! We got rid of one last year along with the cherry tree, never had a good yield from them and the birds caused havoc on them. Not keen on netting, unless it's out of main view ...so they had to go.The remaining plum tree has a few but nothing to write home about:(
