We don't heat the whole house either @alp..Its rare that we put the heating on in our bedroom......never liked a heated bedroom....but we put it on a couple of nights ago.....getting whimpy in our old age .

Definitely no point in heating up the other 5 bedrooms....utter waste of money and energy. Only heat them when they are needed.

Very nice birdies, I get a few goldfinches but not to many. I tried taking some pictures of some long tail tits but it difficult even with a zoom lens.

Been out for a wonder and took a few pictures took a couple of pic of the snowdrops - crocus in the garden and some from my wonder up the hill.

Come back and put the bird box up

Now I wish I could ride a bike. Just look at the views. Very pretty with sky in blue. All we need now is just a big lake, and a hot cup of tea.. with steam coming up in the cold.. Bliss.

Son said there will be a programme on National Trust on C5 at 8pm. I'd love to see that. Now I am after that hot steamy cuppa!

That will happen if I drink after 9pm. Boy, what a torture! The worst is when you think you have wetted the bed! LOL!

OK talk about something else. I bought a little round thing for plonking on the lawn and then grow something on it. That way, I don't have to dig and and not have a permanent feature on it. I can't plant some more of my hellebore babies of which I have tons. Or have galanthus naturalising areas at the back.

Just the sight of the greedy man puts me off. Some might think he's god; to me, he's greed. Imagine nobody else gets a job as he's presenting all of them. Nice to see diversity .. but he's hogging everything even writing sleazy novels! LOL! I don't mind watching Love your garden, but it's brazenly plugging commercial designers and materials. What a moan I am today! Ooops! I blame coldmageddon!

We have gas central heating with 7 radiators. Have 3 bedrooms, the 2 spare bedrooms we have the rads on, because it keeps the whole house warm. In the bathroom got one of those heated towel rads. Their lovely in the cold weather. Haven't got one in the kitchen, only have them on twice a day. But the gas fire is on all the time. We had all the rads replaced and it makes a lot of difference, the rads heat up a lot better.

I have only the hall way which heats up the landing and the toilet and the living room and son's bedroom on at night only and in the morning. The rest of the rooms are freezing, including the kitchen. I don't stay in the kitchen for long as it faces neighbour's window. I dash in and out of the kitchen.
