You should heard me cackle! No, we are allowed to slip a day or two, especially when you have to see your dad, your brother and dust the house ..

Something to cheer me and you up. After £4 of sunflower hearts, here are MY birds

I had to film them inside my lean-to as if I opened the door, they would just vanish and I didn't want that. But hey, MY BIRDS!

I have come to the conclusion that sunflower hearts is the way forward after observing the contest amongst various bird food. Have to say tits like fat balls.

Another thing to cheer me up :

After 6 days, my melon seeds (galia or yellow) have sprouted radicles.

Also the cosmo cupcakes have sprouted very happily

Just potted up all the Condonopsis Clematidia, (a bit of delay seeding them, so sorry, but at least I am starting it earnestly), Firebird Echinacea, delphinium lilac, some purple/magenta seeds from S*****t. more clematis durandii (hopefully).

Hoping for another 6-day miracle!
Lovely goldfinches. Yes they like the sunflower hearts. Also you don't get all the empty husks.
Your seedlings look great.

I am so pleased that I started them 22nd and today is 28th and I have something to show for it. Still having lunch! Snowing now.

Snow stopped and it's just cold. Might sow more seeds so that I have a bowl for microwaving the compost. No end to this misery. Feel sorry for those working in London as the power that be cancel quite a few trains ..

Ours didn't come to anything. Lovely sunshine here and the laundry is on the line drying . Too cold to dare check out the greenhouse or co!d frames ,so I'll leave them but it was quite warm in the greenhouse an hour ago.

Just chilling out and reading a library book, with the delious smell of baking bread whafting around the house....yum . Hubs is making it and also preparing our dinner.Yum again!!!:D:ROFLMAO:

Sounds yummy! And feels nice and warm. I am being caressed by the setting sunshine. Just hurriedly rush out a photo for the passport. Must send tomorrow. Should have done it earlier! But that's me.

Are you planning a lovely warm sunny holiday?

If the sun is shining, and the weather freezing, I'd rather stay home. I still have to nurse my credit card bill shock! LOL!

Shame I didn't win the lottery or I would send you on a warm holiday .. LOL! This is going to be shockingly cold as we're not even at the peak. My legs are cold even though I'm sitting next to the radiator and the sun is still shining. Perhaps, we should drape our legs with a woolly blanket to keep the legs warm.

Or off to make a cup of tea. Ah, lovely hot tea is just what I want.

Went up to son's bedroom and it was freezing cold. We have the hallway and living room heating on. Son's bedroom on at night. Can't afford to heat the medium side bedroom or the kitchen. Heating can be so expensive.
