Good morning to all: The ground is now dry and the sky grey. Much cooler and I need to siphon water from the cut to something small. Had my first prickly cucumber. Will go to Wilko to see if anything reduced.. Today is a day of shopping, probably in the rain.

This is so strange. I saw a post by @Upsy Daisy about having not much rain, but proper rain later today and it says posted a while ago. I refreshed the page as @Upsy Daisy normally doesn't post this early! I refreshed the page and the post is gone.

A bit spooky for me! I need a cuppa to steady my nerves. Neighbour's back and business as usual.

Morning
Had lots of rain last night woke me up at one point wasn’t as cold as last night think we have showers on and off today . Very jealous as my mum was at Shrewsbury flower show yesterday was thinking of going but it’s nearly £30 to get in tad harsh me thinks !
Have a good day :)

£30 is too expensive. We went to the one in Hyde Hall free as we are members of RHS. Every time we are at the entrance, we were queried as to why the card holder was so young as the computer said 72 years old. One in Hyde Hall was adamant that my son had pinched an old man's card! Very annoying.

Leeski - those flower shows are all the same. But we will go to the one in Wisley as it has seen a lot of renovation and new builts, so son insists on going. Let's hope it's not so hot as the one in Hyde Hall. We have had no rain and the sun is trying to shine.

Yesterday, I had a most delicious meal - harvested my own potatoes - all very small. 1/4 if the size of those of @Zenji 's ! One was Duke of York supposed to be AGM, but very tiny. Also had our own courgette with fish. Made even better as cooked by son.

You mean at home? The mossie bites have left me with itchy bumps and it itched so badly that I scraped off the head and I just squeezed in the hope that it would ease my pain. I have had several in both arms. Hate the mossies! They left me with such terrible itches for weeks on end.

Try to wear gloves, @Leeski !

They look very nice and neat, Leeski! Must be your training as a chef contributing to such nice display.

I have to leave mine in the open. I don't have a greenhouse. I still haven't finished. I just sorted out some pots by stacking them, I can't believe how many different shapes of pots there are. You can never stack them properly. One a bit wider at the bottom; one a bit taller on the lip; enough to drive you insane.

Morning @alp, @Leeski and everyone else!

Greenhouse looks good Leeski(y)

Not to blame @alp  I haven't been jinxing the thread, this is my first post :)

We have a steady trickle of rain at the moment, so all is good:)

Agree alp I have a right old collection of pots of various, shades, shapes and sizes....pain to store!

Lovely looking tomatoes @alp , hubs picked another lot of ours yesterday.....this rain will give them a soaking, I hope.We have 1 tom in a pot and the other 6 are planted out in the borders, all are doing really well despite the hot weather....surprisingly!!!:)(y)

Looks good @Leeski (y)

I'm surprised ours have done so well this year ,being out in the ground. Must admit I don't take advantage of my greenhouse during the summer anymore.....mmmm should really but I know I will fret too much when we have a weekend away. Use to pack it with Melons, Sweetcorn, Courgettes and Aubergines, mind you had a lot of young hungry mouths to feed back then:)
