@alp did you watch GW last night.....such a lovely garden in Wales and it had a Lilly pond too.....so idilic, you could even hear the sheep bleating!

I had to watch it. I went out around 9.30 and saw 4 branches off my plum tree so as to let the rain water reach the soil underneath i.e. border. After that I was sweating like a pig, had to retreat. What better than watched the finale of Versailles. No, it's a damp squid. Wished someone had assassinated the CHOSEN king who was totally deluded. The righteous Louvois died and I am glad that no more series has been commissioned. Then GW and I was so impressed with the man's garden in Midlands. His passion is enough to make his wife jealous. Such a perfectionist and his garden is immaculate. I love the Welsh garden as well. The man said he was very touched when his Cardiocrinum giganteum. My laptop went black a few words after this. This forum is amazing as it saved quite a few words. If my cardinocrinum giganteum flowered like this, I would cry too. I have sold the seeds soooooo many times. It's heartbreaking not to see anything. So nice when your partner is on the same page as you!

Sorry for repeats:(

It's nothing. Your camera should be used more often. Such stunning snaps, @Upsy Daisy ! Never like marigold until now.

@johnny canoe Loooove that rudbeckia! I am so impressed with the abundance of flowers in the hanging baskets. Johnny, very prolific and pretty blooms. I have come to come day lilies. I have one or two and they are such perfection to immortalise in photos!

Your gourds always make me smile! Very interesting to look at!

Spent half a day tidying my own triffid i.e. tangled tomatoes. Lots of Sugar drops and I am chuffed. I need to add a high potash feed after the rain. Never planted or accidentally grown so many toms! Then siphoned water to various ridiculous lidless receptacles. Great expectation tomorrow.

Morning @Mark56 , how are you doing at the moment?

So sad isn't it seeing a battered garden, will walk round and check things and stake .....everything in sight!!!(y)

Create a 'cane garden' ...might start a new craze!!

Our next scheduled rainfall starts at 3am Sunday morning and could last until 7am Monday morning......better find my snorkel!!

Hey Upsy, I’m feeling quite positive at the moment - had a few good days this week and have my big London appointment Wednesday. I’ve waited since April to get an appointment with this specialist NHS clinic :)

P.s. the rain has just started here, a little wind too so have got Brother in law to move pots in to the lean-to. Better safe than sorry huh @alp

Glad that you have had a few good days. We have been cloudy since the afternoon. At one point, thought it was going to rain. Yes, take precaution as gusty winds is predicted.

Soooo good to hear you're feeling a bit better at the moment @Mark56 , long may it last (y):)

Hope you're Wed. app will produce some positive news for you :)

Just felt some spits and spots in the air, but not enough to dampen the ground......yet!!

I was never too keen on them either @alp, but now that I have a variety of them ranging from very short ones to the taller ones...and they bloom forever too, I am now quite hooked:LOL:

The ones you have are very pretty, Not just the yellow boring ones. Even @johnny canoe said his customers asked him to grow one lovely ones. I think @Logan has some gorgeous ones too.

We are raining now. According to the Met Office, we weren't supposed to have rain until 4pm tomorrow. Now it's all changed. Not that I am complaining, but we could have gone out today rather than staying in.

Glad that it's raining. We need a lot of rain just to dampen the ground, as @Mark56 said!
