Great pics @alp....especially love the Butterfly Weeds:)

Ooops! I could have sent you some seeds!

They are quite tough. Even though it snowed badly this year, it came back. I planted one on the ugly raised bed as a seedling and it's flowering now! :D:D:D So chuffed.

Please ask him to send some rain inside the red box. No hailstones though. Not for anybody! Fancy cars being hit by golf ball size hailstones! Not nice!

So glad that it's 12 noon. We need to send heavens our needs sheet! Haha! Santa list!

Been tidying up the shredder and the kitchen and put the stipa seeds into pots. Also planted out begonias, penstemon/phlox and some more salvias.

Crikey, Fire in Southampton!

Britain's burning! Wildfires break out on 99F Furnace Friday as people take day off, offices shut early and rail passengers are told NOT to travel (but thunder and hail dampen 'hottest day in history' predictions)
  • Mercury could rise to 99F (37C) today, triggering thunderstorm warnings which will sweep the country
  • Motorists are warned ahead of lightning, flash flooding and large hailstones that could hit eastern parts
  • Temperatures forecast to be in 90Fs (mid-30Cs) for much of East and South East England, Met Office say
  • Some areas of Britain will see a huge drop between today and tomorrow as cool winds bring fresher air

An aggressive grass fire rages 20ft in the air as a firefighter attempts to tame it at Hythe in Hampshire, near Southampton

Not far from us....scary. I'm on the look out at the woods, lakes and fields opposite us, now that schools and colleges are out we get youngsters fishing ,BBQ and partying. Had some bad fires before.

WHAT IS THAT WET STUFF?:eek::eek:

Very envious now Upsy, send some this way please! 30% chance at 6pm, we should be so lucky. I think my best bet would be Sunday as well, less hit and miss by the looks of things but then so are the forecasts
