It’s actually raining quite a bit! :ROFLMAO::eek:

Thank the gods and Upsy! I stepped out to do a 5 min dead head on the decking! I wish I was allowed to do videos for direct upload, too much hassle with YouTube

Went to friend's house. As soon as I sat down, it rained, but not for long. About 3 minutes and of course, the heat in the air evaporated all! That was very good, @Upsy Daisy ! Ground wet and THEN SOME!

Rain, rain .......5 minutes of it!!!!!!!!View attachment 41678 View attachment 41679

Geeeeee! We need 1000 times of this! But hey, better than hot air. I came home from my fan. I had to bribe him to get a fan. His student was suffering in silence. It was so stifling in this heat. He found a fan, but the air was soooooo hot. His house has the same aspects as mine. But even the fan is churning out hot air. I felt so sorry for the student. Came home and the fan is glued next to me.

Not far from us....scary. I'm on the look out at the woods, lakes and fields opposite us, now that schools and colleges are out we get youngsters fishing ,BBQ and partying. Had some bad fires before.

If anything comes near, the first thing is to hose everything down. It's no laughing matter. There's so much heat in the air.

In California

'Wall of fire' devastates California city: Wildfire sweeps through Redding as its 90,000 residents evacuate, at least one person killed and 15 buildings are destroyed
  • Thousands have fled a terrifying wildfire, the so-called Carr Fire, as it tore through an area of northern California after tripling in size to 28,000 acres
  • Late yesterday, crews found the body of a bulldozer operator, who had fought to contain the fierce blaze
  • The wildfire crossed the Sacramento River and now threatens hundreds of homes on the western fringes of the city of Redding
  • 'It's just chaotic. It's wild. There's a lot of fire, a lot of structures burning,' said Scott McLean, a Cal Fire spokesman for the crews battling the wildfire

    We must start planting fire-retardant plants. All these fires are so damaging and life-threatening.

Very nice, not cramped at all. Love how perfect the hosta leaves are. I have bought the red begonia that you have. How do you feed them please, @johnny canoe ? I repotted it and I want them to look like yours.

Your garden is in its prime - You probably could sit and have a beer, relax and enjoy what you have .. So nice. Sooooo many zinnias in that pot! Amazing!

The yellow one reminds me of my Kelvin Floodlight.
