On a cheerier not I kind person on freecycle gave me 300 plant pots I gave her a chilli plant as a thank you she was made up forgot to mention to her that it’s Trinidad scorpion a super hot - opps View attachment 40842

I need to get into this kind of network. 300 plant pots which are totally stackable! Brilliant! I am forever being frustrated by these plant pots which I can never stack neatly. Bottoms of the pots too big, the rims too tall or too big, ... The manufacturers just want to drive you crazy ..

It’s a Mexican herb has a complex taste cross between coriander , basil then a after taste of bay.
Bit like marmite you either love or hate it I love it goes amazing with oily fish
You only use it fresh if you cook it tastes and smell like my gardening socks !

Yuck .. I can't believe the gardening socks parallel! If you were Monty, you would be fired for ruining someone else's life of business. Love Basil and coriander though. On googling, it mentions rue! That doesn't sound like a nice plant!:D

Off to do some shopping .. running out of porridge, nuts, milk and someone is coming!

Just come back from hell. Went very early and stopped at diy to see if the orange echinacea was still in. It was and saw a man wheeling a whole trolley of plants with the word Clearance to the back and he disappeared. Never realised that those decent looking flowers would be binned! He came back and I asked him if he could reduce them for me. Initially, on Wednesday, a woman would only reduce it to £4, saying that it's a new arrival and it's not allowed to go further. The man reduced them both to 50p and at the checkout, a lady said she wouldn't charge me for the orange, so I paid 50p for the white one. Very happy. They are now drinking ... have a bit of elixir!

I would never go out on a footballing final day. The roads were gridlocked and Aldi was the worst. In the end, son had to park the car next to a bin as the car park was full of car waiting to park. What a nightmare! I prefer Lidl. Even their small apples are sweeter. Because of visitors, I had to buy 2 bottles of coke. Was thinking of buying some Stella Artois, but when I looked at the price, I reminded myself that I was teetotal and there would only be 2 man visitors.

Is it the yellow one or the orange one please? I used to love them and collect seeds wherever I went. But no, no more. They self-seeded everywhere here in Essex and have very, very long roots. Very difficult to weed. Now whenever I see them in my garden, I rush to get rid of them. If you love them, collect the seeds and sow it in situ. I reckon they would self seed. But it depends on how much you like them. I really like the orange ones.

Rain forecast for @Logan and all the others. Perhaps not so much for Mark or me. With 31c. It will need a night of sustained rain to cool the air. Not likely.

Saw the episode of Garden Rescue in Birkenhead. It talks about decking in a Norfolk garden which was lovely, with ducklings, rowing boat and water lilies .. Such a lovely garden. Also watched My flat-pack home! Love the one perching on Cornwall coast .. Lovely view ..

I did use honey, but the result was not brilliant! Maybe it's me, not the fault of the honey. If you have half sand, half compost, you stand a very good chance.

Good afternoon all
@alp we might get a bit of rain tomorrow about 20 percent chance.
Lovely flowers as always. My agapanthus is out, but the flowers seem to be smaller, unless I'm imagining it.

Got a lot of wallflower seedlings come up, 170 so far. Sown a lot more.

With the heat have to keep putting them in the garage at 11am until 6pm

I've rooted 11 blackcurrant cuttings in water, took about 3 weeks.
