I've taken lots of cuttings too in readiness for next year. Seed harvesting is now in full swing and all my seedlings sowed a couple of months ago are doing well too and will be planted out in the autumn. Never ending ......

You've done so well. I wish I could plan for next year! All my plants are in pots and dying. probably needing to be lifted up from the ground as the retained heat has not been doing them any good.

Good morning. Set the alarm at 4.30 and an hour of watering, again. No end of drought in sight.

Ripped up the Lollipop and wondering what to put down there.

Good morning to you @alp and to everyone else who drops by for a chat.:)
It's difficult for you with a house move in the near future to make any plans, especially not knowing what soil etc you will inherit
Just think ,you might end up with lovely stuff like Monty"s !!!:D(y)

I'd like a stream with no threat of flooding. Saw a bit of Yorkshire and saw the flood. So serious. Very little movement in the garden. Just planted a hydrangea paniculata in the place of the helenium lollipop. 3 years of growth gone. Might put it near the front. Sad to kill a plant. I have to say it looks instantly better. I will take some cuttings. Despite all the watering the soil itself is still very dry. Have you got rain, @Upsy Daisy ? Judging from the weather map, @Perki , @Zenj and even @Logan might get some rain .. Even you might have a bit. But DEFINITELY zilch for me!

Alba is in the soil and hence happier whilst the Midnight star is in a pot.

One unknown achillea in the front lawn, if there is one!

I should toughen up a bit and yank out plants that don't do well/ look good, but as you said it's sad to kill a living plant:cry:

Did I mention that I am attempting to propagate some rose cuttings in potatoes They say that after a few weeks if you gently tug at it and it feels secure then it has'taken'......trouble is ( in my thinking) it's wedged in a whole potato so it will feel secure!! Might leave them longer, but don't want any new roots ( says she optimistically:LOL:) to rot in the potato either.....another big gardening decision to make:D:ROFLMAO:

Yes, we cross-wired a bit. I so want to go to bed again. 4.30am to do watering. Don't know how @Logan can drag herself out, especially in winter - cold, dark, rain, or even snow:eek:! If I had a dog, I would train him to get up 7am and 8 in winter! Hahaha! Fancy @MaryMary 's cat didn't know what Sundays mean! Very cruel pet!

Yes, not a stir in the air last night. Normally, the air is cool and opening the window lets in cold breeze, but not last night. Where has all the rain and coolness gone? Who has pinched them? Are they all making legal highs?

Eek! We don't encourage marital discord here:eek:! Haha!:D

Try to be on the same page and you will have a lovely union like @Zenj 's and his better half (see you need to flatter them, BETTER half!)

My friend who visited me last week came into the house and wanted to move the chairs into the kitchen. When I asked her daughter what daddy thought of it. She said he was the same as his better half - ON THE SAME PAGE! @Leeski - we encourage harmony! (whatever that means!:D)!

Nice job, @Leeski ! Such an inspiration! I nearly missed this post. I came back to this page to see my photos (well, I love my photos!) and saw these .. Lovely job! Lees!
