Good morning to a very chilly and fresh day, but the sun was shining brightly earlier!

Going to use the pressure washer to wash the teak furniture and water the nearby borders. Sow the grass seeds and get ready for photos to be taken. Continue to plant out beans and other edible crops. Not a lot, but hopefully, save me buying salads.

@Mike Allen Just show those in the government never learn, We need people with vision in the government.

"There's now't so strange as folk"

So here is another one. " There's no place so strange as Britain" One minute people lose everything due to flooding. Next the water is running out. Predictions are that as a result of climate change, sea levels will rise. For the South of England, is is expected that many towns will be flooded to a devastating degree. Little or no advance action is being taken. When water is in short supply, the suggestion of building desalination plants or even more reservoirs, the idea is blown to the wind. Well it only happens now and again. Similar response to severe winters when everything comes to a standstill. What's your take?
I ran across a writing from a person who pointed out that since the clean air act actually worked, and the atmosphere became less polluted, that solar energy can penetrate more and warm waters and raise temperatures. Thats too simple so I was shocked and amused.

I took a 3rd bucket of blackberries in today, and 2 buckets of yellow squash. I weeded the garden and mowed the lawn. The blueberries are ripe and there are a scad of them. I bet I need more buckets. I know I will fill 2 or 3 on this first picking.

This global warming didn't just happen now, it was happening in the 70s and they wasn't listening then. If they did diside to do anything, it has to be with all the world, some countries won't agree. It will take that long to put it right.:)

Good Morning lawnmowers......hope your blades are sharp this fine day.

Have a word with Saudi...how do they manage their water supply...?? then Bloody Well Listen....The days of draining the oceans are comming if waters are rising and the Ice Caps melt sooner or later Desalination will have to be implemented if even for human existence...

I'm loving that Charlie Dimmock gardening card even more and more @Logan..very professional looking.

@alp ....Its not the price putting me off getting Princess Kate...its the availability I have paid £200 for a pair of small fish before, now that may suggest that I've money to burn..believe me I havent...but if I like something and it fits then I will pay or travel hahahaha...really this is a lesson on if you see it in front of you at the GC especially in NI..then buy it because it sure as hell wont be there when you come back.

Just a wee pic of my BBQ for two yesterday...so peaceful

£200 for a pair of fish! If they live and you have the money for that at that moment and you've worked hard for it, why not? Hope the war department reins you in from time to time! I am sure with all the home improvements, she probably thinks you are worth it! Lovely rose and a haven and heaven for the BIGCs!

3rd bucket of blueberries!:D Amazing and to your good health .. A doctor said as soon as she had consumed the juice, her heart worked better. Mine is still on the small side.

The paint on the teak furniture proves to be too difficult to shift. But at least, the water wetted the ground, paving way for grass seed sowing.

I hope you're going to collect the seeds and see what's coming out of it. It's stunningly confused, but the markings are remarkable.

I have to come in to duck the heat.

Just planted out my cosmo cupcakes x 3. and also the Easter flower chrysan will be out once I can see a perfect flower. It's just sooooooo hot! The ground is baking and all my pots are thirsty!

A bargain indeed Alp, I purchased that one for my mother before, it was definitely double figures!

How old is the Lupin Upsy? I grow My Castle and the Governor in big deep pots - they do well, just like the Delphiniums. No chance of growing them in the ground here either Perki.

p.s. Hope you are all well, still struggling here but hoping to check in more often as you all lighten matters with your wonderful pictures and chat. :)

Hello, sorry have been away for 3 days...and no internet, bliss :)
Got back about an hour ago and now catching up on all the posts(y)

@Mark56 , lovely to hear from you but saddened to read that you are not feeling 100%. Do look in and have a natter.:)(y) Take care.

The Lupins are just 2 years old and are growing like Triffids :D:ROFLMAO:

Did you have a good time, @Upsy Daisy ?

I need to be away for 3 nights as well. Fed up with constant tidying up and watering, planting, mopping, shifting .. My second name is Moana!

Yes it was lovely despite having to look after and support our very poorly friend. Initially we planned to come back on Sunday but our friend couldn't be left:(.

The weather was gorgeous and it was only a short walk to the beach. Also had a great walk through the local Nature Reserve too!:)

Back home and it was amazing how much the garden had changed in such a short time!!! It was desperate for a drink though!(y)

Such beautiful flowers Upsy Daisy liking the second pic a lot..
Evening all...Just mowed the grass it sure is a nice shade of green..threatening to rain without actually doing so..going dark with ominous clouds and then they split and glorious sunshine again..cant work these weather patterns out, so I guess I'll just water anyway....
I made the final apple crate for the fence and gave it a lick of paint...yes Big C green as always ...
Today I was working at a local businessman's house and he had a spectacular koi pond I really enjoyed his company and came away with some extra knowledge on the subject..his fish were amazing and his flora and fauna even moreso...The sump house and filtration system was accessed under the summerhouse a kind of basement...totally unbelievable...I have a few ideas on planting around the pond now and a waterfall is on the cards .....Hope you all had a great day...
