@alp before we moved here, we had a walk around the area. In the day time and at different times in the evening, also at weekends.
Hope it's ok for you.

My sister in law didn't like it much where she lived, there was always kids playing and making a lot of noise.

When i planted alsroemerias the SS would eat them and they came up too early and was had by the frost. Now they're doing a lot better and spreading.:)

Hubby has been working a lot these last weeks. So i offered to cut the front grass. Did it yesterday afternoon, went over some long grass and it cut out. Took me ages to work out how the circuit breaker worked.:ROFLMAO:

Aah!! thank you @alp, all will go well with yours I'm sure(y)

Most people only want to see the potential of a garden and not the pristine layout created by someone else......we all have our own vision of what we want our gardens to be, everyone will make changes in order to put their own ' personal 'stamp on their new house and garden eventually.

Deep breath now.......all will be well :)(y)

Don't know about deep breath! I'm breathing fire. Been out and plunged the Red gaura into the border to shore up the tableau, so to speak!:LOL:! I can't work out there as I am already sweating next to a fan. I was out as soon as I got up, but Mr Sunshine is killing me. I put down 2 hydrangeas, with pots into the border and it is a very hot border. I know they are are going to flower, so I need their help. Left some Dahlia Dandy in a pot yesterday and saw them today! I should be reported to the Society for the Protection of Plants! Planted them out. Then planted out 6 little pots of heurcheras to beef up the front border.

Yes, the weather map look foreboding for you, @Zenj ! Hope everything is where they should be two days later. I'd love to have that neon blob of rain band over my garden.

'Danger to life' Storm Hector threatens flying debris, travel chaos and blackouts as it smashes Britain tomorrow with rain and wind pushing into next week
  • Gusts will pick up this afternoon before brunt of storm will be felt during tomorrow's morning rush hour
  • Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are under weather warning from 3am to 3pm tomorrow
  • Met Office has warned of chance of power cuts in some parts of Britain and huge waves in coastal areas

Enjoy your glorious sunshine today, @Zenj ! We might have rain 9am today. You just watch, it WILL miss me or it's only spitting!

You will and you won't miss it, Logan! I wish I had some. I spread out all sorts of containers just to humour myself. Even 5 minutes is better than nothing. Have cleared all the salad trays. Planted out Aster Bahamas, Aster Dumosus - all reduced to £1.99. Also planted out salvia caradonna, helenium piquesqueak, Heuchera Can Can, and a very hairy salvia.

Thought you didn't like salvia caradonna Alp ;)

Not much gardening this evening just a little preparation for the winds tomorrow. The roses which have just started to flower are going to get battered :(. I've ordered my clematis from a nice chap called Richard who has the national collection of viticella clematis, he was on GW with carol klein a while back. Decided I've had enough of the Iris sibirica, it doesn't flower long so it has to be moved from it premium space. What to replace it with

Just started to rain here about 40 min ago, lawn showing signs of stress due to lack of water, Don't think I've ever seen gardens dry out this much before.
