Very beautiful roses, too, @BigC !

Been working flat out and thank heavens that after 5pm, the sun went to the other side of the house and I turned the dead clay over. The clay soil was so blocky and airless, no wonder @Silentrunning cried me a river when it rained heavily. Hopefully, I can buy some grass seeds and grass that area again.

Good morning, the promised rain blobs or flash showers haven't materialised and apart from a few drops, I haven't had RAIN!!

Going to sort out the garden and take a few pics. Hopefully, the sun stays away a bit. Have quite a bit of melon, cucumber and bean seeds germinated and the the lean to is choc-a-bloc!

Yes it's worrying. We're not going to have rain for another week.

Got the same as you, 2 water butts are leaking a little bit. It's from the cold snaps that we had. Going to try and get some sealant.

@alp Aren't you a bit late with cucumber and melon seeds?

Keith had a order for a card, so i cut it out for him last night. With a pair of nail sissors.

The front, got to put 2 sided sticky tape on this and put it on the card.

Good morning all..The sun is up again, we really are blessed this week..and I cant help but think that we are going to pay a hefty price down the line when we are singin and dancin in the rain....So whats to do today...Well nothin really...Clear some duckweed is all I can do at the minute...I have decided that the big tree will go in the dirt at the weekend so thats a big job...so whilst I wait for plants to grow and flourish all I can do is water and feed and cut the grass of course....so best get my sunglasses out and some beer in....:ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:
I love this wee bush so much so I bought another one in orange. It becomes straggly with age but you can shape and mold it to your liking and it seems to bloom forever

Please keep your sunglasses! :cool::cool::LOL:

Sun is already out, but a bit hazy. A lot to do. Will take some photos later, but it's a in-between time - no cosmos, no dahlias just waiting for plants to flower.

Just bought some South African sweet piquante peppadew seeds and some erythronium seeds. Just what is wrong with me? Keep thinking of reducing the number of pots and now some more to come. I think I might have a go with them just in case tomorrow never comes!

The UK has become rather rough

A comedian got robbed of his £15K watch and vehicle windscreen smashed whilst his son sat at the back.
Australian reporter got their £15k camera stolen
BBC got their expensive camera stolen. It was fixed to film Oxbridge boat race.
These are on top of the stabbings and acid attacks.. Not a nice place for our children - all because some entitled disenfranchised youths want their OWN status symbols!

I also blame the "idiots" or "innocents" for wearing their £15k watches walking around. £15K can buy a lot of happiness for others in need in the world!

Some nice blooms this year...suppose I should be happy...I would love large healthy mixed Lupins but I'm not paying £15 a pop.........

Well, there are lupins and lupins. Those I saw reduced in Homebase were still asking for £8 down from £16. The were the TOWER! With tight-knit florets, very pretty! I wouldn't pay £8 for lupin though. Having said that, I have seen some lupin trees in photos which threw up 8 or 9 spikes. Dramatic. Out now and talk to you all when I am back.

Hello another warm / hot day again , it getting to be the norm this weather now .

That's very expensive £16 for a lupin, I won't mind one of the orange ones though, They don't take long to get to a good size growing from seed. I need to do my pots for summer planting but I to busy at the moment with work etc. Some plants got delivered the other day - thalicthrum Anne - Eryngium neptures Gold - pennisetem rubra - Hedychium garderanium :). I go and water the tomatoes and put my aching feet up this evening

It's been a very humid day. Even though there was not much sunshine, I was stamping on the patch to prepare it for grass and sweat just came dripping down. I am so scared of ticks and mozzies that I left my pyjama trousers on the used socks to prevent any slugs, ticks or mozzie. Last time I mowed the lawn, I was kissed by something which left the spot in the cheek under my left eye swollen for days and even my eyesight was a bit affected.

Perki You've had a very busy day! I tried to raise Hedychium Garderanium from seeds. Needless to say, I have seen nothing. I think I have tried twice. Think you might need a bit of warmth and humidity for this fragrant lady! I could be wrong. I think they are ginger's sister!

Quite true @Perki ..but in their defence "they were bloody stunning"
Good solid mass with healthy leaves, stems and beautiful colouration
Photo does not do it justice..
