Great Doggie Story Alert
Yesterday morning I met perchance a neighbour who lives on the opposite side of the road and we struck up a conversation...Now both he and his wife usually walk their beloved Rottweillers (friendly and big softies)..But this particular morning He was walking a younger dog, a kind of a Golden Lab cross. So me being the inquisitive sort I asked "new dog then" hahahaha to which he replied "Yeah its a rescue pup from China"..I thought...Fair Enough... he's taking the mick, so lets delve deeper....Pardon I said....Yeah its a rescue dog imported from China, well bugger me I knew that AliExpress was good and cheap but this was taking the proverbial dog biscuit...
Turns out his wife is connected with a little charity which rescues Dogs from the meat cleaver in China...And this was one such dog that was destined for the plate...He went on to mention "it's sad and we cant rescue every one but we can make a small difference", I commend them for their efforts and I'm intrigued to find out more and I will probably make a contribution in a monetary sense...I loved this story so much...And the little dog is a friendly happy wee thing full of life...Knocked me for six, unusual, but it made my day....
