Thank you for sharing - love the place - next time I must upload more of the landscape of Hyde Hall. Might go there before August as I might not renew my membership. such a massive place. Why didn't I think of going there when we visited Yorkshire? We stayed in Leeds for one night. Dummy I was and I am!

Perki: You must be chuffed to bit as the weather has been glorious!

Good morning - it's a subdued, cold morning and the sun is trying to break through, be it very slowly.

Funny thing is that I always go close to flowers and forget about the layout or landscape. Seeing these photos and those of owdboggy's, I must take some landscape ones. At the moment, a lot is going on Hyde Hall, so expect to see something new soon.

@Perki I really like the last photo - such a big place and I am sure my son would love to see it. He loves our Yorkshire trip and we might go there again and we will visit it en route!

Had another look - so many erythroniums - shame the same colour and a lot of my favorite camassias. I remember the specialist who started the craze said that you could throw anything at them, Well, no! Not the SS!

And is this the wedding cake tree, @Perki ?

Good Morning folks
Whilst it looks to be shaping up to be another great day, i really should stop spending money on this garden and its features...I have just bought the risque bar sign...I think she'll ava fit when she sees it..but its all in good fun...I keep saying that I'll reign back on the spending every year and every year it never happens....like @alp says its an addiction... Here's a wee view of the top end of my own garden yesterday evening minus the sun, it looks a lot tidier now than it did earlier on in the day..Not much by the way of flowers yet as the Hydrangeas, Roses, Azelias and gawd knows what else have yet to bloom...The pond with it's Pergola is to the right

@BigC You work so hard and your brain works overtime (do try to sleep though - I know, I sound like your mother!) and your children are with grandchildren now, so why worry. Just make sure you buy quality and you actually enhance the value of your house and make life sweet for you and your lone flower/war department!

Don't worry! Like is not worth it if you count pennies .. Do pamper you and yours from time to time and make life worth living .. try something new, buy something which fires the passion in your belly (not Whisky! Don't say I am misleading a stray! LOL!:LOL:)

I will put down that gc for my next visit. Had a memorable time in Yorkshire.

So hot that I have to give myself an excuse to sit down. I am still sweating. When I washed my face, I tasted the saltiness of my sweat. Such a moan I am - too hot, too cold, too wet! What am I like? Depressing to all you lot!:cry:

Last year, my clematis montana rubens spilt out so much perfume. This year, I am glad that it has at least made an effort.

Just love Irises - so much detail and yet so shortlived, but stunning every year.

Clematis have got to be one of the most wonderful of flowers and yours are no exception @alp..We have one but it really needs to be out in the full sun to reach its full potential I think..Where is your's @alp ??...As for the Iris well they are great too but such short lived...I have one which never bloomed its first year and last year the War Dept smothered it with kindness and watered it too much and it keeled over...here's hoping this year will be better..This is a pic of what its supposed to look like...
