Went to keiths this afternoon, I'm designing a birthday card for my son. I haven't finished it yet, put some die cutting out and stamping. All I've got to do is colour in the stamping, Keith's got some water colour paints that I'll have a go at in a fortnight when i go back.

Round here we can tell when it's summer when everyone gets the BBQ out and the stink of it.

Got to water the containers a bit later, going to be hotter tomorrow.

Logan: It's like we are going back to primary school, colouring and cutting shapes.

Have a good clear out. One room is more or less done, another to come. It has been so hot. I have drawn all the curtains and double overlapped them to keep the heat out. In the winter, it is done to keep the cold out. I felt the glass and it was very hot.

Been watching The assassination of Gianni Versace. Two hours plus and I wish I could fast forward it and just listen to the dialogue, as in youtube! Seems to be such a waste of time.

Did a bit cuttings and as son has been out, just watched a bit of TV and had Nissin "healthy" noodles for dinner with coriander and lettuce.

BigC I have already sown some pointy peppers. I really like them. I collected some Finest colourful tomato seeds and sowed them this morning. Hope the heat is not going to kill them. Essex sunshine is quite different from the Irish one! BigC: Time to pinch the top off the tomato plants and also the side stems coming out in between the main stem and the lower leaves.

Thank you all for the incredibly kind comments. Still checking in daily now, enjoying all your posts. Painkillers are useful but I try to only use them when the flare up is really bad, hearing all sorts of addiction stories. How does your mum manage it best Perki?

@Mark56 Same here. Doctor gave me tablets, but I tried not to take them. I went on the bike, had rhubarbs for desserts and now I am better than before. Hope @Perki don't miss your post, so I have given him a shout here.

@Zenj I can see the difference between your flowers and mine. Mine has been snapped in the stem, in the petals and in the crown by SS. Yours are perfect! I still have some lovely daffs and I didn't take them thinking they are now passé. How wrong was I! Soooo nice to see soooo much sunshine in Newcastle! LOL! Enjoy and hope your grandchildren have a happy bank holiday with you ..

I have sorted all the garden area's bar one...The seating area....This I will address tomorrow weather permitting.
Today has been a good day and yes the vino has taken its toll for today...but I'm pleased with the progress and we're getting there. Tomorrow should finish the template which leaves the filling in parts still to address. I would like to see more flowers..that I am working on........:)

@alp I know it's like going back to school, but do enjoy doing it. I watch create and craft channel and the different things that they do to make a card is very interesting.I used to be very good at drawing and scetching. I can copy drawings, my son can do it too.

@Zenj lovely daffs and muscari.

My mum takes painkillers daily like clockwork, she has them at fixed times. Can't remember the name of some of the painkillers, think its co codamol ? If she going out say the garden centre she take extra painkillers with her. I don't think all the pain link to her fibromylagi , she already had problems with her knee / hip . I will ask her tomorrow but from what I notice she just takes painkillers for the condition. She can get tired / sleepy which I would assume is the painkillers effect.

It been a lovely day today, no gardening though. I moved most of the plants back into the greenhouse and thats it.

I am going to go Harlow Carr gardens in Harrogate tomorrow morning, they is a plant fair on as well. I'll take my camera and take some pictures of the gardens. .
