We do have a lot of berries and other fruit. But we do have a bit of processed meats, or roast beef or chicken or turkey and a lot of veg.Cereal for breakfast, most of the fruit goes on the cereal.

Just pulled another lot of rhubarb. 5lb 8oz
Bake it in the oven with a lot of honey.

Evening all ...With all the overtime I clocked up yesterday I have decided to take tomorrow off to build the garden biergarten unit...I picked up another big tin of Sommerset Green from the DIY store reduced to £15 which is not bad seeing as the small tin half the size was £11. Good Deal I thought...So tomorrow I'll get to work weather permitting...I have just watered all the greenhouse and bug sprayed the Chillis and Toms. Points to notice, the Lettuce is growing a pace and the Mini Kale has also sprouted...outside the snails are at their work on the Petunias...so out with the pellets..some people disagree with this practice ...needless to say ...I don't.
Very heavy showers here today some with large hailstones thrown in for good measure.
I'm off to buy some economy decking boards this evening again from the DIY store (seen them today) £2.50 per 1800mm length...I find them good for making box planters etc so I'll buy about 10-12...Then I'll retire for this evening and plan what needs to be done on paper...Tomorrow is another day as they say.

I also picked up 2 tins of Forest green paint for the teak ensemble and it worked out £8 for a big one in B&Q. Hopefully, I can sand some more down tomorrow and start to treat them with teak oil.

Freaky weather continues to haunt me
Not AGAIN! Snow is set to return this weekend along with three inches of rain and gales in the South East as weather warnings come back
  • An unsettled spell of weather is due to hit London, South-East England and East Anglia, Met Office warns
  • Forecasters have said that the Lake District, North Pennines and Scottish Highlands are most at risk snow
  • Temperatures could plummet to 5C (41F) - a stark contrast to the 29C (84.2F) London basked in last week

@alp!!! That weather report sounds horrendous!!?

Your garden furniture is going to look great after all your hard work(y)

My day has been a bit of a mixed bag of events....nothing went as planned ( as usual!). Had hoped to do a spot of pinching out this morning but my neighbour called out to us to go over for a coffee.....which was lovely!
Met my friend in the cinema and went to get our tickets only to be told the film had been cancelled and instead they were showing ' Peter Rabbit ' !!!! We couldn't believe it, my friend had taken her grandchildren to see it, and I wasn't keen to see it anyway! So instead we went for cake, coffee and a chat.....which was lovely too!

Walked home and just sat down for our meal when my brother phoned needing us to drive over and sort out a couple of problems for him.....thankfully they didn't require immediate attention so we did get to finish our meal before sorting him out.:)(y)

How are the other members of the Bad Back Club doing......I'm sat with a hot water bottle on mine tonight.

We've had really heavy rain this afternoon/early evening, driving over to my brother's it was almost impossible to see out of the car even with the windscreen wipers going at top speed!!
One of our sons is coming down tomorrow to attend a friend's wedding on Saturday.....keeping everything crossed for the happy couple that the weather behaves and isn't too bad for their special day(y)

I just woke up - watching Miranda Barbour: Serial Killer or Liar. I drifted in and out of consciousness. We had a bit of very heavy rain, but it's like a 5 minutes' downpour and most of the day has been fine. Ex went to collect another chair and he said that nearly couldn't get in the car. It is one long chair. After surfing for the price, I settled on one 5L teak oil for £18.49. That probably was the reason why I was so tired. Tried to change country to Italy to get 10% off on fleabay. No, not allowed.

Nice that you get to see your son, Upsy ! We had pork and chicken for meals, which was nice. We are total carnivores. Heavy rain your way, Upsy and on Sunday, it's our way. This freaky weather is just mad. The hot weather forced me to put a tray under every single pot. Now, water will collect in every single tray on Monday, probably killing them as well. Need to weed when the ground is still wet. I have seen the tip of my Iris Indian Chief today.. And suddenly, the holes in the front garden have all disappeared, all covered by lush green.. How nature caught me by surprise.

Woke up early and came down to look into the possibility of a 2nd round of dishwashing. But the wash cycle is still on. It's a bit snippy. Need to find more sheets to cover the seeds I have sown just in case of the terrible cold.

Good Morning @Logan (early as usual lol) and all the Green fingered fraternity....
Seems like a good day here at the moment so I'm going to get out there early and tackle a few jobs in the garden.
I need a couple of hanging basket liners and some twine......
I'm wating on the weather Vane arriving today so that should be an interesting event and deciding where it needs to go, and I'm also thinking about a Armillary Sundial and Plinth.
I still need to do lots of weeding though in the borders..its not overly bad and wont take long once I start..its getting started is the problem hahahaha..Now lets get this Biergarten started...Have a great day folks and I hope the sun is shining for you.

Thank you, Upsy!

Got up after 2 hours of hallucination, with some funny dreams thrown in. Never again. Going to upload the other chair and some tiles for some freelywheelers and put the final touch to the house and to the market we go.

That's not the worst part of my lawn! The rain and the burning of wood ..
