Zenji - it's usually the same here for Chelsea. Rain and muggy though. As long as the flowers are there, you'll be alright, especially when it is free. I really regret not going to Harrow Carr when we visited Yorkshire. Such a shame! What a miss. I have been to the other three RHS flagship gardens, but not Harrow Carr. Hope you enjoy yourselves. Here, the sunshine is glorious and I have just done the back lawn. So everything on course.

Today has been showery, but not a lot. Just 10 minutes of serious rain and that's it. Sun was mostly out and the breeze was lovely. It's raining again now. Very little, but I can hear in the living room. Sanded down the other garden chairs. So my direct sown seeds are going to freeze tonight 6c only!.

5 minutes of very heavy rain, sounds like sleeting. Now it's totally gone. Short, sharp shower! Sun is still out, but it's cold.

We had a good day on the whole, but just now the rain has been really heavy. Heard a bit of rumble and we had very little rain until just now. Now, it's cold. Essex is really a nice place to live, but for the drought. I can hear my direct sown seeds squeaking, eee, ahhh. Two hot days do not a summer make! When am I going to learn my lessons. Now my babies are screaming in pain because of the cold snap!

And I was so lazy - I didn't even bother to cover the seeds as they were 10p a packet. Very naughty of me! Now the sun is out. Can't complain. I sowed some beans, some cucumber seeds even though they were supposed to be indoors. I couldn't be bothered as my indoors is already full to the beam. Sunshine so strong - pure joy!

I haven't got any indoors now thank goodness! I begin to hate having them around......decided last week it was time for them to face the real world. So far all are good.

Might direct sow some more Zinnias and then cover them with a bottomless clear plastic bottle until they germinate..
All my poppies have been d.sowed, havent' covered them , so no doubt the birds will feast on them:(

LOL! This sentence reminds me that this afternoon I saw a pigeon feasting on the newly half-dug area where I sprinkled the seeds. As soon as I saw that, i realised that I should have covered the seeds just in case birds will pick them. I went back into the house and promptly got distracted. I must cover them with a sheet when it gets cold. There might be hard frost but apparently, we are due for another heat surge! Hope it rains heavily on Friday to give my seeds a proper send-off!

I must admit to have seeds indoors just clogs the mind. De-cluttering is needed. Ah, what did I say? I have done more cuttings today, salvias, camellias and dahlias.. I think I am a plant-addict!

Baking soda eases painful arthritis: The kitchen cupboard staple prevents patients' immune systems attacking their joints
  • After two weeks of drinking a bicarb solution, fewer inflammatory cells are made
  • Researchers believe this may offer a safe way to treat inflammatory diseases
  • Bicarb is thought to send signals to the spleen that prevent inflammation
  • Baking soda has previously been shown to help women give birth naturally
  • Rheumatoid arthritis affects around 1.3 million adults in the US

Logan: Sorry another extract from your hated paper.

One of the comments reads: This appears to be an Arm & Hammer Baking Soda commercial.

LOL!

Did mange to mow the lawn again this evening and took some pictures of one of my crown imperial fritillaria which I am chuffed to bits with, not so please with some of the others though.

I am also addicted to everything reduced or free! :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I'm under a blanket now as it's cold at night. Trying to find some teak oil and the mind boggles. Teak oil with UV, Teak oil/ boiled linseed oil. .. so much .. and so many dubious claim.

Yes, but perki, where are the photos! I saw some new ones in GW. Oh, dear! I must curb my addiction. I'd better go to bed and think about whether to have UV or not .. Good night everyone! Hope you get better tomorrow morning! I hate having a cold.
