Now, if everyone who reads this would just give me 2 degrees in temperature, I'd be happy. I'm not asking for much... You wouldn't even notice 2 degrees...:(

I will give you 5c. I did saw a video showing snow in the W and heavy rain in the south in the US. Not a good year for gardening for us!

@johnny canoe As long as you can walk, please don't strain yourself. We have about 9c outside and it feel distinctly chilly. Yesterday, I saw two lily beetles doing the dirty in my fritillary imperalis. I immediately despatched them to meet their maker. So annoyed. Have 3 flowering ones and one has got holes in the thick stem. I took 2 indoors, but I need to check for SS/beetles later for the one outside.

Going to be a dry day and we spent yesterday afternoon mentioning the roof. Today, more to do in the lean to.

Good morning, @BigC ! Have you detected any growth in your plants with the LED light?

Was using Edge browser and the cursor kept changing to a pointer ie hand with a pointing finger and the laptop went PONG! The links just didn't work. Has there been a man behind the laptop after the missiles?

This has happened quite a few times. I ditched Edge and went to Chrome which hasn't exhibited this problem. Anybody having similar difficulty?

Morning all...What a load of comments above from plants to lifestyle aspects to which I have like them all, Too many to quote. :) but here are a few
y brother can't walk the distance to his garage .....he hasn't even got the strength to open the garage door anymore
So sorry to hear of your brothers predicament @Upsy Daisy

Yes, Ireland's in for a bit of a blue ribbon with neon blobs laced in between. What a shame. We all have blue sky, but not you. Perhaps heavens want you to work with your hands indoors, knowing that you can weave magic ..
Never thought of it that way @alp and I did buy some wooden dowels to make a multi dibber for the seed trays, I could perhaps finish that little project.

Look a snazzy little gadget your
fritillary imperalis.
Was nearly temped to buy some from the GC...I did one year plant snakesheads but they came to nothing and I seem to have lost my Primula vialli so that is a plant I definitely want back either beg steal or borrow.

@BigC, I'll be interested how well it does.
I will keep you informed, so far I'm impressed with its build quality.

Could be worse, BigC.
Keep your Snow @MaryMary I've enough on my hands...:) storm over night howling wind kept me awake most of it..starting to abate now but its raining...forecast is to pick up by this evening..here's hoping

Have a great day folks...whatever the weather
Regards C

I have coupled the little Propagator LED lighting panel to a timer..(I have digital ones somewhere but this will do for now) 12 hr cycle 7am to 7pm for starters...see how thing progress from here..The panel itself gives off very little heat but enough over a few hours (trial last) night to offer a little more to my (non thermostatically controlled) heated propagator, which is very welcome seeing that I'm trying to grow chilli peppers.

Nothing yet @alp its only been on a few hours and chilli's can be notoriously slow to germinate if at all (seed dependant)..The hotter the chilli pepper on the Scoville scale the longer the germination time or so they say..so 21 days is not unheard of...I've done everything by the book (if a little late planting) so we shall see..I do have more seeds..but whatever comes up is what I'll be content with this year due to space limitations.

and Guess What..the sun is shining and we have an almost blue sky...shame I have to go to work now...so until this evening tata for now...C

Cloudy today, raining now. Planted a couple of plants for mum this evening camellia - holly and a rhubarb.

@MaryMary You'll have to beg Alp for some heat, around 25C  down that way this week.

Look a snazzy little gadget your lighting @BigC, I'll be interested how well it does.

I will gladly give @MaryMary some. I don't even like the heat! I am sweating already having mown just half a lawn.:LOL:

My mouth is full of food. LOL!

Now, they were even worse - having menage a trois this morning! Shameless! Brazen! I squeezed and got a lot of satisfaction on hearing "pop"! And I went pop, pop, pop, pop, pop and one escaped. I felt like

myself!
