Yes I feel a tad hot too, although it's cloudy and breezy here. Just arrived back from cutting my Dad's hair and grocery shopping.

Quick change of the bedding and a load up of the washing machine...nice breeze ideal for drying (y)

Then fingers crossed some ' garden time' later:)

Been out weeding and mulching and it was hard work as I can't bend my knees at all. It was so hot and even the breeze sometimes doesn't help. Thank heavens that the sun sometimes retreated a bit. Just finished everything this minute. Tomorrow, I will be out as early as possible and sleep whilst it's 2pm. My fiesta!

Upsy: Nice that you have me times.

I noticed out of nowhere came the dicentra -leaves and flowers .. Amazing how fast things can change. I wonder if I should still sow tomato seeds. Fed up with this sudden rush of heat. Nowhere to hide.

Hot Hot sporadically then a little wind and mizzle then Hot Hot...Greenhouse is sitting at 96'F so thats better, so much so that my Moneymaker Tomato seeds which I'd given up on have finally germinated... all of them.. :)
They must know when the time is right...My strawberries in the greenhouse in hanging baskets have also set flower, so things are on the up...The CUC seeds have not made an appearance yet neither have the Super Hot Chilli Peppers..but I guess there is time yet...So all in all something to smile about at long last. B and Q have some good size terracotta pots in the clearance section so I might as well grab a few of these at the weekend and its Dobbies GC 20% off event also so we might as well make use of this somehow too

Well done! BigC ! Can't wait to see your harvest. I will make a compost heap tomorrow and direct sow when I get the things ready.

I am the last person to ask about composting as I never follow the rule book. @Perki might give you better idea. All you need is several pellets and banged them together and hopefully, Perki will fill you in. I had so much to dump into my bins that I just never followed the correct procedure. It depends if you have the space for the compost heaps.

It's been a year today when i fractured my knee, doesn't time fly.

@alp I understand how difficult it is for you to do the weeding, I can't bend my knee fully to stoop to weed or plant anything.

Yes, I began to feel a bit fed up with so much to do. I must put the house on the market as the situation is not getting any better.

Well I never got time to go outside.:(

Took me ages to get round all the housework this afternoon. Feeling completely stiff and achy in my joints , think it didn't help with all the clearing out of the garage and shed yesterday:(

Feeling really cold now too, probably down to the dampness in the air......and yes, we have rain ....again!!! . My hands are as cold as ice despite it being 20 indoors :(.

Hope to go NT visiting tomorrow......it had better be nicer weather!

Supposed to have been OK today, BBC obviously got it wrong with this rain we are having now :(

Gosh !! Just look at all my sad faces:eek:

Hope some of you had some good weather :)(y)

I have 3 compost bins, the plastic ones that look like a darlek. It's very good. Mainly I put in , uncooked kitchen waste no weeds that have flowers on, no meat and fats. I add cardboard, paper. Have to have wet and dry, can put grass in but mixed in with something else. Bigger pieces have to be chopped up and don't put dry leaves in it , they take longer to break down and evergreen. But mainly I just put in kitchen waste and cardboard. The rest hubby takes to the recycling place. It has to have some sun, that way it will heat up enough.
