Best Wishes @johnny canoe ...hope you are feeling better soon.
58'F in the Greenhouse today isn't good for growing anything...after 80-85 at the weekend...I wish things would settle into some kinda of rhythm ...Usually I can physically see almost daily growth in tomato plants..not this year they seem dormant....As for Daffodills they are nearly spent...been blooming for a while now so they are just about to turn over for another year....Hope you all had a great day in your gardens....not much I can do until the weekends and the ground is ever so damp....needs a good rise in temps...

Hope your on the mend soon @johnny canoe

@alp My greenhouse is in one of the sunniest places in my garden, I do need the GH to bring on tender annuals - dahlia's - cucumbers and some tomatoes etc, the season shorter here than down south, and with it being a damp / wet place here year round most small plants get better by the rain and the army of slugs at night. I have the door open most of summer though with 3 roofs and a side vents as well to cool it down.

It been cold and foggy all day, just a miserable day.

Same here! Miserable and dull. No sunshine at all. This morning had to dig up hellebores and there were slugs inside quite a few flowers and slugs and snails are now everywhere. Had another bunch of spring onion for the aromatic duck and planted the root bits out. An hour later, 2 slugs were fighting over one.

Yes, you do need a greenhouse. If I do have a greenhouse, I will make loads of openable windows. Didn't do a lot today as we went out to look around. Son just loves going out. If I said no, he would grunt.

Have you had yourself checked, you could have bruised ribs. Get well soon.

@johnny canoe You're in trouble with us mother hens.. and now you wish you hadn't told us. If your chest is still dodgy tomorrow, please go and see the doctor. Logan is right. Pay attention to your chest tomorrow to make sure it is 100% clear please!

Get well soon, @johnny canoe!!

Make sure you remove the netting before you plant them!! (y)

Crumbs! Did I say laying around. I should have said lying around. I've found out that the Americans like to use laying more than lying. Heard it all the times in TV series.

Haven't you been checked out @johnny canoe ....tut, tut!:(

You really should, two years ago I tripped in the garden and put up with awfully painful ribs/ chest for a couple of weeks. My job with very young children involved lifting/ carrying children, toy boxes etc and pushing double pushchairs ...just couldn't do it. After eventually getting checked out it was found that I had 2 cracked ribs...nothing could be done but at least I knew that I had to rest up a bit to allow them to heal.
Take care:)
