Oooooo I really (if I'm honest) don't mind a good old housework day....... it's just a tad overwhelming today as I've had so much pre Christmas socializing to do that I've totally neglected it. Next week is pretty hectic too and the first of our brood arrives next Thursday....so must get spruced up a bit.....and whip the duster and hoover around their unused bedrooms and evict all the spiders!!

Gosh ...look at the time..... haven't even started yet......blame in on my lovely new library book!!

If you don't hear from me later....please send a search party to hunt me out from under all the dust and cobwebs.

Good morning to all and it's quiet. Dark with no rain and OK indoors. Have the car booked in for repair at 11am. Will go to Summerhill and wyevale if I have time before that.

If it's the air bag that you're having repaired,be careful before you have it done. Just got back from walking Barley, have to be very careful crossing the road, very icy. But made it in one piece.

We deactivated the passenger airbag and now the man from Nissan told me that both airbags could be dangerous, but they had never had any such incidents.

Pull another one! If so, you think they would spend such a lot of time and money to have the recall! How people can pull wool over your eyes.

The government lost by 4 votes.. More malaise in the country. Running a country is not like buying a pair of posh shoes...

That's good then. I don't want to go into politics, but I've always felt that , they're all the same, no matter who gets in. I've only started voting since I've been married, hubby said that i should vote. Today having the tiles replaced in the bathroom. Had a cracked tile, the man tried to replace just the one, but he didn't do a good job. So he's doing the whole floor, for nothing because they didn't do it right the first time.
Have to keep the boys in the kitchen and hubby's moving all the blueberry pots away from the patio doors so they can go through the garage,round the back and up the stairs.

I must check on all the overwintering plants in the greenhouse and cold frames just to ensure that they are kept ticking over, not much else to do really.

Meeting up with another friend this afternoon.........but will start an attack on the pile of ironing before heading out.

Alp said.."running a country is not like buying a pair of posh shoes". It is when it is one's sole intention! Why are our politicians so intent on self destruction? We are even more of a laughing stock in europe now it is increasingly embarrassing but frustrating too because there will be a second referendum and brexit will be blocked. The "will of the people" is not really respected by the powers that be and wont be tolerated

What an incredible story about your car alp. Your patience is impressive. I would have been far more aggressive but dont be fobbed off, ok? And demand some form of compensation as zenj has experienced too

House sitting whilst plumber is working on niece's home.........hate hanging around but donuts, choccie biscuits, soup, plenty of tea etc is available so not all bad. Taking the opportunity too to sort some paperwork out so not really wasted time
