Mountain Lions in the city again. Yesterday I was along the river feeding birds and a large herd of deer wandered through the trees. A while later the birds took off except for a Nuthatch. It stood there on a log beside me making a weird noise and just staring into the brush. So I get home and learn from the news that the cougars are along the river following the deer herds. Yikes, I better check the news before I go out, not after. A cougar sighting won't keep me from the river, but I want to keep an eye out, you know, see those fangs coming for me. lol

Good morning .. Please don't laugh. I always thought that cougar was an old woman pulling a young man. Never knew it was a beautiful beast! LOL!

Whoa! @johnny canoe You'd better be very careful and make sure you have a weapon with you.

Perhaps Logan can start a thread on how to prepare a Christmas Turkey or main meal. I personally cook chicken every year as I am not keen on the texture of turkey and refuse to pay the seasonal blackmail price for it.

Alp turkey is that price all year round. After the scare of the bird flu,it went up to £50.00 for a 7kg bird. But this time of year they sell it at half price.

For me, a fresh chicken will do. Just loooove chicken thighs and wings. Breast is too dry and bland and only one texture.. Mmmm, I can gobble a juicy thigh NOW!

Ooops! I didn't know that I stuck out my tongue at all of you all the times. This is a STICK OUT TONGUE emoji.. :p

How rude have I been! Apologies for sticking out tongues at you all.. I sincerely thought it was an embarrassed SMILE! Look at its eyes, there is nothing naughty about it ...:ROFLMAO:

Apology accepted(y).Turkey is self basting these days,so it's not dry at all. I always wrap it in foil. I will do a thread about it, first I've got to work out the weight of the stuffing,i just know how much to put in, won't be doing that until the beginning of December.(y)

You didn't cook it enough.
I grease the foil so the skin won't stick to it. I use sunflower oil for that, it's cheaper. No i don't put fat inside, only the stuffing. But i do,do something that we shouldn't, stuff the bird both ends. It still cooks ok. Stab it with a knife through the leg or the breast to see if there's any red juices coming out. It's not cooked if there is.

Nice kitchen/diner to look forward to, @Zenji .. A bit of inconvenience, but it will be all worth it. I paid cowboys to do my kitchen and after that there were cracks in the wooden door.. the other door he put in is a bit too small and fails the purpose of preventing smoke to go to another room.. Life is a steep learning curve ..

Glad that you will enjoy perfect craftsmanship in the end. This country is full of cowboys and I seem to have employed all of them.

Been down the beach again....much cooler though but still pleasant. Very quiet weather and now, an hour or two, later the sun is out and the sky is blue. Another fine day to come.

Will be planting some clematis in niece's garden soon :)

Feels like my right arm's missing...desktop computer has gone to the great IT graveyard:(
Ipad though keeps me in touch. Will grab a replacement desktop today (y)

Have good day folks(y)

Very mild though, but tonight it's going to be cold. I have to pinch your sunshine tomorrow and do some serious rounds with the washing machine .
