@Upsy Daisy You have such a lovely garden.. So well kept. Sit out and get some sun when it's here please as the vitamin D will do you a lot of good..

It was drizzly when I went out.

I have taken a cheap multivitamins by Home Bargains. But I am a bit concerned. I read that for £4.99, you could get 90 or 180 tablets of Seven Seas multivitamins. We went there and I saw the the labels and found them dodgy. Son googled it in the store and said it could be fake. A friend bought tons of Centrum multivitamins in a boot sale, but now he knew they were fake.

I really don't know how it works. Newspaper articles said that it didn't matter if the supplements were sold by Boots or Poundland as there were rules governing the manufacture of this.

I have to go for a blood test for vitamin D and thyroid to see if the lack of sun affects my bones. I always avoid the sun as it will bring heat rashes.. for all my life. That probably explains why my bones feel like stiff sticks and my knee caps are locked sometimes. Also, wearing flat shoes has started all my troubles. I loved wearing u gg boots like fur shoes. After that, my knee troubles started ..

I was brought up as a young child on cod liver oil, have taken the capsules before but have heard that the actual oil is best. I have the early stages of osteoporosis in my spine , like you I always avoid the sun on my body . I keep well covered up as I had skin cancer 18yrs ago...had to have two ops. I also, absolutely, hate milk so it's probably not surprising that my bones are now complaining:);)

Think I will try the oil:sick::eek: !!

Good morning to all - @Upsy Daisy You don't have an easy life. So don't feel bad if you lazed around for one day or two. When I had my cold, I did exactly just that.

Thank you for the name, @Logan.

It's very mild today. Going to weed more and sort out the other bedroom.

@alp that's ok. Going to do some large mince tarts this morning. Afternoon going to plant the tulips. Hubby's going to get another turkey for the freezer, he's got a tesco £6.00 coupon when
he spends £30.00. at the online grocery checkout in store. The turkeys are still on offer. He's getting a few other things as well.

@Logan That sounds lovely. Wish I lived near you. Will come round with a begging bowl! LOL!

Nice way to save money with the coupon. It's very hard for me to spend that much money. Son told me that he found 9 rolls of Sainsburys bin bags.. That's because I had to buy tons of non-perishables to reach that amount which would trigger the discount .. Hard work

No dinner for me?? Even with a begging bowl! Where's your Christmas spirit? LOL!:p

I might do some shopping today then. Of course, £30 for 2 people is a lot. But as it is nearly Christmas, a lot of things need to be there to make it perfect. I am sure you have everything ready already .. Domestic Goddess! When I saw Nigella Lawson on TV, I cringe.. and think about some white flour .. Taped some Rick Stein from last night. Just want to see the country of Mexico.. and its foods. The one about Italy was quite good.

Howdy folks :)

Sun trying to come out:)

Great believer in vitamin D .....most of us are short of it esp in winter. For me it is not needed in summer cos I get plenty of sun but I always take cod liver oil supplement at this time of year

Sorry Upsy your "bones are complaining" but good news about you and your friends meeting up at xmas......sounds like it will be a lot of fun(y)

A friend of mine this morn was moaning his son never contacts him......I grabbed his mobile and sent a message to his son just saying "hi, how are you"? His son replied by inviting him to stay. Doesnt take much except swallowing a little pride:) people dont seem to talk to one another, or listen to one another, these days!!?? Told my friend it is up to him too to make the comtact now and then.
