That's an interesting story, seems every time you solve a problem you only create new problemsCan the UK cope with MORE electric cars? Three year project will see 3,000 vehicles take to British roads to test energy demands on the national grid
- Regulator Ofgem has approved the three-year project led by a group of firms
- British Gas-owner Centrica and Uber are among the companies backing project
- It aims to assess the impact of more electric vehicles on cables and substations

Around here, I haven't noticed a lot of electric cars on the roadways, but I have noticed a lot of electric bikes, they are becoming very popular, so much so I can see problems from people who don't know how to ride bikes in traffic. My city already has a problem with cyclists that don't obey traffic rules (one of my major pet peeves as a lifelong cyclist).
Another thing we have around here are souped up golf carts, which I believe are electric and street legal, but only used around the beaches area (Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach communities). If I liked driving, that's probably what I would get, but I love cycling too much, but I will never get an electric bike
