Mr. Murphy had his say yesterday.
The Mule is laid up.
The stump looking like a bolt sticking out is where an Idler Pulley should be tension-ing the drive belt.
Another case of designed to fail?
When I get the replacement, some time near November first because they are back ordered, I'll be back in business. There just ain't any around that I can find so far. One guy thinks he can find one so there is hope of getting done sooner.
Ordered a replacement belt so that will be as tight as possible too. That wasn't real expensive to my surprise.

Anyway Grass is growing and soon it will be a third harvest so there is that.
It looks like rain for a day or two starting later on I believe.

So I do have more Gardening Porn so to speak, so if anyone wants an update on the Black Soldier fly composting or wants pictures shown of the new batch of materials going into the tumbler I can oblige.
Both are interesting to some folk.

Cut out 6 more tomato plants. I put down crimson clover a week ago so didn't want to rip plants out. Cut them at soil level.
Picked about 10lb of pole beans. Cut on teepee of pole beans at soil level for same reason.

Still have 8 tomato plants going and 4 teepee of beans. Zucchini still producing

A busy afternoon.

I took all the pots off this patio, ready to scrape out the moss/soil between the flags with a knife
Then vacced it all up plus a lot of leaves.

Then removed the top layer of compost from each pot and added fresh. Cleaned the pots and pot movers. Drained the fountain, cleaned and refilled it.
Then brushed fresh fine sand into the cracks between the flags. Replaced the pots on their put movers. Gave all the pots some water. Did the same with the pots on the other patio and those next to the fence along the drive.

Mowed the lawn.

Removed the tree at the end of the rockery in the first picture. Never does much and the leaves start going black very early in the summer.

I need to get into the rockery on the next dry day, "when I feel like it," to dig out the grass.

Patches "the (mule) rototiller" is still awaiting a part.
Got eight cinder blocks to set level as the start of the foundation pillars for a future greenhouse.
No feed this last Tuesday for the BSF. I was injured and skipped the heavy lifting.
Compost tumbler R&ard with new batch. A lot of pine shaving-bedding from the Guinea Pigs. It's their job to eat and produce output for compost input. The are very healthy from fresh vegitables nearly everyday and pellet (anytime ) but they adore dry timothy grass.
So that is their job and a good job of it they poo!

Dropped into Fall real quick out here. I'm going to miss Summer for a while this time.
