The ground is wet, so it must have rained last night.

@Colin 's cartoon reminds me of this - Tom Brady said in an interview that he preferred to be on the road as he wouldn't be moaned at for doing something wrong in the house! Hilarious!

He would be moaned at definitely for that .. No escape from Gisele's moaning ..

Hi,

Many thanks Logan; Blackie has now arrived home safely and emptied his bags; everything is soaking wet and it's a really miserable dreary morning. Yesterday afternoon I covered the Yeti windscreen having had a look at the forecast stating frost; at around 8:30 last night the forecast was now for rain so Blackie must have been in overdrive? I went and removed the cover; yes the car and everything outside was soaking wet at 7:15 this morning when I headed out to the supermarkets. 10C is mild but it feels colder due to the damp.

Kind regards, Colin.

Hi,

I've just been out in the rain and wind to get a bit of exercise as I started to feel lazy having done little for a couple of days; two piles of stones; rusty metal and bricks are now one big pile; when I brought the horse manure home I cut back the laurels right at the top of the mountain to give access to our rear garden over the dry stone wall. With this section of laurel exposing a gap our local low life will possibly see this as an invitation? I've piled all this randomly just beneath the wall so anyone deciding to trespass can risk a broken ankle; this will save police and court time whilst making them think before attempting it again. I don't wish to hurt or injure anyone but I don't think I'm breaking any law by piling this material in our garden? The courts appear useless as a deterrent so time decent law abiding people find ways of fighting back whilst being on the side of the law? ;)

I've now warmed up nicely and feel a lot better than remaining indoors moaning; tomorrow I'll do more work in the garden; I'm hoping to spend at least an hour each day in the gardens even if it's only pottering around tidying up. The hardest part of doing anything this time of year is to get off my backside where it's warm and comfortable to head up the mountain in our Yorkshire winter but then there is little difference between summer and winter living here. 3:16pm and it's already getting dark; when Bron and I returned home this morning low cloud was covering half of Emley Moor transmitting mast. Wet; windy and mild; Blackie and Gale love me to bits. :D:D:D

Kind regards, Colin.

@Colin there's nothing like a bit of Gardening to cheer us up. I'm at a loss if I'm not Gardening.
Make sure you dry off properly and don't keep any wet jeans on. I have to have words with hubby sometimes, when we've walked the boys,he keeps his damp jeans on.

11 to 14c but very dark outside, Another cloudy day. I think I sound like a groundhog day..

Just generally tidying up the house .. We're going to wall paper the rest of the room and go shopping on Wednesday for more wall papers.

Thanks Logan for your concern and words of wisdom. Yes I definitely dry off; whenever I do any work I always change my clothes so I never wear wet or damp clothes indoors; the only time I enjoy being wet is in the hot bath having a good long soak. It looks like I'm in for another soaking this morning because my chum and constant companion Blackie is already waiting for me to venture out; it's another wet and miserable black hole so everything's normal. It's mild but I think I'll do some digging and raking to get the blood circulating; there's nothing like hard graft to start the day right? :D:D

My new cordless Makita hedge trimmer is due to arrive today; I wonder if I can find an indoor dry hedge to try it on?

Kind regards, Colin.

@Colin hope you enjoy your new hedge trimmer.
I've been weeding a border to put my raspberry canes in when arrive. Dug up some parsnips, not as big as last year, but still ok.

Hi,

Thanks Logan. I received an email stating the time the hedge trimmer was to be delivered and sure enough it arrived safely bang on time. The trimmer (Makita cordless) arrived double boxed and although I've not yet tried it out in anger I have installed a battery and run it in the workshop; what a big difference between this cordless and my big petrol trimmer; the weight and noise are much reduced; I can hold it in one hand at arm's length without stressing my arm; I don't need to fill it with petrol and I don't have to play around pumping petrol through before having a good workout trying to start it. I'm looking forward to using it next springtime.

You've been busy Logan by the sound of it; well done. (y) I managed an hour in the wet this morning but had to quit because the soil was sticking to everything making it very unpleasant; I so wish someone would adopt my pet cloud Blackie; he won't leave me in peace. After dinner it turned quite pleasant in sunshine so I took Bron for a spot of well earned retail therapy. :) I'm looking forward to 6 potted viburnum shrubs arriving; planting conditions couldn't be better.

Kind regards, Colin.
