Maybe it's a bad year for them.

Could be! When the weather is cold, flowers just would not open and they shrivel and the petals matt together ..

Well, I have taken cuttings for Teesbrooke Audrey, Emory Paul, Frosted tip and one speckled one and hope next year, they will have a head start.

Lets hope so. My chillies have just started to flower, very late. When Christmas comes, can't keep them all. Got to make room for the Christmas tree. Already got a tin of chocolates.

Yes, at least, I'm not shivering .. Summer is over! Was thinking of going to the zoo or Waddesdon Manor, but no... the weather ruins it.

In the morning, I saw @mg guy 's lovely lawn; I decided to mow my own and use the scarifier later. It was very hot and humid and I looked at the weather report and saw this band which moved away before 12pm, so we had half of our breakfast and drove to Bedfordshire to Whipsnade zoo. It was funereal there - overcast, wet, and cold. Thank heavens that I had a fleece top. The weather was just miserable and cold. We had a good time as we went to all the talks. At nearly 2pm, the weather perked up a bit and it was a bit warmer. Asian Elephant corner is finally open and I took quite a few videos.

With my internet being so slow, it might be a while before you can see the videos. Funny thing was that it was bright and hot in Essex and yet in Bedfordshire, it was dismal, dark, grey and foggy ..
