Hahaha! I went outside, trying to dig something up. But the ground was FROZEN and the hailstones are still visible on the grass, on the lean-to glass .. Had to beat retreat and wait till 10.30am!

Hi,

By 8:15 this morning I was back home after visiting three supermarkets; we had a covering of snow and ice; our street was like a skating rink and living here on the steep valley side meant extra caution whilst I was driving. As I type the snow is coming down as seen in the picture below and its a white-out across the valley; I hope we have a severe winter then perhaps we might see a bit of sunshine in summer to replace the wall to wall rain we endured all last year. As usual the flowering daffodils will be poking through the snow.

It's 6:30am and -29C outside. Temp will rise to -4C this morning and afternoon, continuing to rise to a warm +6C on Tuesday. More snow coming in a few days. lol

WOW johnny; -29C is cold; I bet you need antifreeze in your tea? BRRRRRRR.

Our weather is unbelievable; this morning it was a white out with snow; Bron and I have just returned from Leeds in brilliant sunshine and little snow is left; 6.5C in Leeds and 4.5C here so it's still chilly but not as perishing as yours Johnny. We can and do get every type of weather in a single day.

Hello Colin,
I'm a coffee drinker and I do make it strong. Despite the cold I waited until it had warmed to -20C before hopping on my bike and heading down to the river. I'm sure I look silly biking in my -70C winter boots but they keep me warm. Oh and the long Johns, two pairs of sweat pants, two coats and a vest, a tuque and ear muffs plus two sets of gloves. lol

Glad that you're pragmatic. You've to dress in layers to keep warm and please make sure you do that. Nice and lovely snow scenes. Absolutely beautiful!
